Think more info is needed, how often do you train? Bf%? My first reaction is that you may be under eating. Have you had a look at DJs dieting 101 stickys?

I may be wrong but if you are under eating you may be losing some muscle as well as fat if your training hard.

Currently im not training that hard, between 3-4 times weekly, normally between 45min to a hour, buts its winter so im really not pushing anything. (cardio is also last on my priority list, i know ill have to change this as well)

My current diet sucks, i eat once daily, the work keeps me busy ( i know it’s no excuse), but that’s why i want to really start with a good low maintenance diet

I don’t know my BF%, but i can tell you its high, probably 25%

Why taking the glutamine for breakfast and pre. Rather use 10g post and 5g before bed

the only place were 'success' comes before 'work' is in the dictionary

Hi GAB
But its for weight loss, if i take more whole foods wont i actually be gaining weight?
I understand that i need to retain muscle while losing fat, should i maybe add more tuna/chicken in one of the meals?, maybe add Tuna to meal 2?

Hi Waldu
Advise taken, i normally only use pre and post, but taking to much creatine and Glutamine won’t hurt would it?, but if its a waste then i’ll rather cut it.

its not all bad nbs. you need to calculate the amount of protien and fats and carbs that you would need dayly for your lean muscle mass.

if i was you i would add another meal in between meals 3&4

my day looks like this

1 mince & potato
2 whey & penutbutter
3 chicken & green veg
4 beef & green veg
5 oats & raisins (pre)
6 chicken & veg (post)
7 whey & peanutbutter

you need to weigh your food raw. this is on about 400 cal deficit. i have lost plenty of kg on this diet.

what is your bodyfat% like.

Mince and potato for breakfast, i think this is what got me in trouble to start off with :-P, the problem is the time it takes to make all this food, im looking at stuff i can make/take on the go.
I did however see Helga’s sell prepacked vegies, i just need to microwave it and its ready

My bf is probably in the region of 25%, it might even be higher i’m afraid

I just don’t know how can be gaining weight if i only eat once daily, i never drink gas cool drink, im not fond of sweets, must be the amount of coffee i consume

you see there is your problem. youre not eating anything so your body goes into starvation mode and slows down your metabolism and will store any food as fat and that i why you are gaining fat. make your food for the week on a sunday and store it in tupperware and put in in the freezer. that is how i get by every week. no standing infront of the stove everyday any more. stay away from helgas food exept from their meat department fo buying you chicken fillets and lean beef.

there is a diet section on this forum go and read it and get educated on hoe much you should eat for your bodweight.

Dude if u only eat once a day your metabolism is shut down, your body basicly goes into survival mode and stores all food consumed as fat, that's why you are gaining weight! You need a proper diet that has atleast 5proper meals in!

NBS,

Gab is right, make you food on a sunday, i do this also...makes about 3-4days of food. I weight all the chicken pieces/steak etc put in packets and leave in the frigde. Once im ready i just remove, add spice and grill. Easy

I was also like that, " looking for meals on the go", tried and never worked. U must plan it out..thats the best way. and once u in the swing, its like second nature

That diet section will really help, ok it didnt at first make sense to me, so i got a diet from DJ...worked like a mtf! and im still on it...im evening trying to see if can increase or decrease my calories and see what happens

u can have results, or have excuses...u cant have both!!!!

@Gab& pr0gr3s1v3
If my body goes into starvation mode, should i not be hungry?, i cant recall the last time i have really been hungry...., but ja, it makes sense, i have been told in the past i have to eat more.

I have a small gym at home, have 2 exercise bikes, dumbbells, bench bar, then one of those Trojan machines, that you can do shoulders, arm curls, chest, legs and bench

Howzit NBS. I'm also trying to shed the extra kilo's, know it's hard work so good luck!

I don't know if someone else can elaborate, but isn't the 6-8 cups of coffee screwing his receptors up?

Well there's other guys on here that'll be able to advise you better than me, but from what I've read I know most of them will advise against too much dairy in your diet.

If you love coffee that much, why not substitute a few cups a day with decaf? And no sugar, use canderel (but that's got aspartame in) or xylitol (better than sugar, but still a lot of calories).

You're probably addicted to caffeine, so taper off a bit by substituting 1 cup extra with decaf every few days???

Discipline is choosing what you want most over what you want now.
