Please help me was created by gambit
Good day peeps…

I would like your experienced advice. Firstly, let me give you a bit of background. I was always a skinny guy, well ok rather in my younger days. When I first went to gym 11years ago I weighed 58kg’s, my height 1.77m. After a few months of training I got up to just over 70kg’s and was looking better. Anyways long story short, many years of on-off training, mostly off got me to a very undesirable 89.8Kgs. Beginning of this year I decided its time to make a plan and get fitter and more desirable so to say..lol.. I started gym again and decided to leave the weights and just concentrate on cardio. With me training and eating “properly” I decided to enter the menshealth belly-off challenge and surprisingly I did well as I made it to being selected for the top 10 finalists. Now I am in not muscular or toned like any of you guys/gals here (I wish I was). My current weight is around 74kg’s (34yrs old). My wife and mom are kinda nagging that I’m too thin now thus I want to add some muscle just to get me looking healthier(if you can say so).
The first problem I have is, that I want/need to lose more size around my belly as I’m not happy with it yep. Abs would be great but all I want is a completely flat tummy.
Second problem is that in the past, whenever I tried bulking up it will always be my mid section/belly area that ends up expanding first and well, keeps expanding. How do I bulk up without getting fat again. I don’t want to look like I did before ever again.

Oh here are some before and after the belly-off challenge pics.

Just to add, I gym 4-5 days a week and eat clean. Carb intake is quite low. I can give you a breakdown of what i was eating when i was dieting and now what i have during the fast, but i dont think you want that as I want to add muscle.

Congratulations awesome transformation +1. If you wanna add muscle you need to hit the heavy weights with the cardio still included. But with the diet I suggest you contact DJ for a diet that you will have to pay a bit for. You won't be sorry.

Love the buuuuuuuuuuuuuurn!

I'd rather die standing than live a life on my knees.

Thanks a mil man... You know, coming to think of it, i did'nt really do much cardio then, it was always just weights...but like you suggested, I do need the proper diet and I also believe training plan. I have no doubt DJ can steer me on the proper path, seen some pics of the guys he has been working with and amazing tranformations. I will just have to get his details and see if i can afford him.

Awesome work thus far gambit a ! People underestimate the dedication it takes to grab hold of yourself and pull you of the edge, but you're looking great.

You cant go wrong with DJ he will sort you out in the eating department, but im sure we are more than educated enough to collectively assist in your exercise regime. That being said, post up your full weeks gym program. In as much detail as you can remember, and are you currently using any supplements or planning/been on any cycles to date ?

Regards,
Aspoester.

Thanks for the kind words. Currently I'm still just getting ready for the photoshoot with the top 10 finalists in the belly off challenge. So all i'm doing now is cardio with a bit of core training.
As you all know, it's the fast so I have very little time for much training but this is my morning routine for the past 2 weeks.
Oh, i train on an empty stomach and I have 5grams beta alanine before i leave home.
At gym 5am then 25mins on the stepper (medium pace)Start off on speed 7 and end on 12.
then 10 mins on the treadmill(incline 6 and speed 6) and another 10mins on elliptical, medium pace.
I do some cable crunches and hanging leg raises for another 5-10 mins, depending if there's time.
immediately after training I have 2 whole boiled eggs (this is just for the fast, otherwise i only have the whites) 4-5 dates and a shake i make the previous night.
contents of shake, 4 tablespoons whey (whey from Ondier), 1/2 cup raw oats,1 table spoon honey,5grams glutamine and sometimes a banana all blended togather and that lasts me until we break fast at sunset.

On the training, I wanted to do some weights but I was'nt sure if I should do it before the shoot as I'm scared i'm gonna waist valuable cardio time or am i just being silly?
No cycles currently, when I started gym many years ago I was on the typical beginner cycle, Dbol and depotrone but nothing since then. I dont mind going on a cycle if thats what i need to do.
only supplements I have are
Whey
Beta Alanine
Glutamine
think thats all actually. is there anything else i need to get.

You should definitely incorporate weight training into your program as it can help with weight loss and muscle toning, building muscle chews calories so it will definitely help and you will look better overall at your shoot. My 2c

Monday I weighed myself and i was 'nt so happy. Weight was 75.9kg's. Decided to change my diet a bit and just have soup and steamed fish for supper, no carbs other than the raw oats i have in my shake in the morning. Incorporated weight training with the cardio, still short workouts due to the limited time i have in the morning. Yesterday's weight was 73.4kg's, felt much better about that and looked less "bloated". Tonight i will introduce a bit of carbs, just have a baked potato with my fish for supper and will do the same tomorrow. Hopefully i wont be bloated when we do the shoot on saturday.

Well guys, with the photoshoot out of the way I decided to get back into the weight training, more toning and going for the lean bulk now. Taking it easy this week then going to start pushing hard next week. Have a training plan I got from a bodybuilder friend of mine and will be using that program for 6 weeks and see how that goes.
I did get hold of DJ and I will in future arrange a program with him, just not now as I have too much other financial commitments and when I do it DJ's way i want to do it properly,go on a cycle and everything he recommends, dont wanna do it half-assed. Just need to get the drag car done and my dads surprise birthday party then I will have funds available to do this properly.

These videos are quite advanced for a beginner but if you can get some of these principles involved in your routine now, you should make some great gains.. good luck man.
