Scoops are the stupidest things ever. Get a digital kitchen scale, that way u know u are being 100% accurate with your calorie intake.

Protein is protein bud. Whey is powdered protein, meat is solid protein, the difference is digestion times etc. Whey gets digested very quickly. Chicken not so much. So it takes the body a while to digest protein from chicken or other solid food protein sources. This helps u feel fuller for longer when u are dieting.

So for example your diet would look like this in terms of protein :

Meal 1 solid protein
Meal 2 liquid protein(whey)
Meal 3 solid protein
Meal 4 liquid protein
Meal 5 solid protein
Meal 6 solid protein
Post work out liquid protein.

Solid protein sources : chicken fish ostrich seafood egg whites beef steak(fillet) fish.

Liquid protein : whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, casein protein.

Apologies for the misunderstanding DJ, I was aware of this, your last post about me having some of my meals as a shake made me wonder if I should go out and buy something with protein and carbs in it, which is why I asked what should I buy for this, to which you said SSN Whey, which im not sure if it has carbs in or not?

Thanks again for the info

Rather eat your carbs. Whey and oats is a good meal to have. U dont need to cook your oats u can blend it up and drink it with your whey. Alot of meal replacements have got high gi carb sources which isnt the best when u are dieting and trying to build up your metabolism like u are.

Blending you oats is the best way to get it in and it goes down quick and easy in your shake. 1 flat scoop of whey is only 16-18g with most of those big scoops.

Thanks again for the info all

Rhino, my last check with the guy at my gym was 21%

Now something I have been wondering about is this, I don't seem to have a small frame, in the sense that I don't think I could ever have a small waist, im a size 36, my rib cage is inline with my chest and not small in size at all, what im wondering is, will this shrink so to speak with cardio, or do genetics come into play here, my waist and rib cage so to speak?

Not sure if im explaining this well

Now don't laugh please but here is how I think my body shape is wrt rib cage size and waist, can this change?

Not like this:
Small Waist

More like this:
Large Waist

AlexRon, you might not have a V shape upper-body currently, but as you gain muscles on the shoulders, lats, chest and you loose body fat, you will develop a better V shape upper body.

Bro at your hieght, weight and BF your lean weight is around 70kg so trust me with a proper diet and cardio you'll be shocked! your waist could be a 32 or even less.
You should be looking at getting your weight down to about 80 ish then you'll be in the 10 percent range before you do another cycle.

Bud honestly choose a goal and stick to it. U are changing your mind every 5minutes and waiting people's time asking for more advice because u are indecisive. We have all explained to u what to do and gone into detail how to do it. Trying to build muscle now with a metabolism that is slower than a slug in a salt patch is gonna make u get even fatter than u currently are. Get your abs out and then look to add muscle. This is a marathon and u will not be able to turn into big ramy over night and be 150kgs of muscle.

Thanks admin, perfect answer

If I may ask, something new as of last night after 6 weeks of gyming 6 days a week

Last night was the 1st time I got wet from sweating, now, I know many will say I don't work hard enough etc, but I do, I always push as hard as I can, sometimes doing super sets if it allows and I never sweat, maybe ill get a wet layer on my skin, but not to the point where it runs

Last night I did legs, by the end of my session had sweat running down my face and legs and arms, what happened?

at 5:50 I had dinner, I never do this, I always eat after gym, I had a full chicken and salad, finished eating at 6:15

At 6:30 I had my NO Rage, 1 scoop to 500ml of water, drank half and left half for gym, at the same time I had my USN Creatine HCL, 4 pills with my NO Rage, last night would have been day 4 on creatine

So what caused it??

Was it the chicken dinner or the creatine starting to work with my system?

Thoughts please

A whole chicken... Bud that's probably nearly your days cals in 1 meal. Take the valuable advice DJ gave you and set out a proper diet and then people can direct you.
You should probable be aiming for around 2300 cals a day not 3500 to 4500. Face it your carrying very little muscle so worrying about loosing 1kg of it shouldn't stress you out. Loosing the fat should

To be honest u are gonna have a rough time approaching a dietitian for advice on how to build muscle. Get yourself an online coach or join a 12 week challenge like the ssn/supa shape one and get a body builder such as Andrew hudson to coach u and give u advice. Thats going to be more benefitial. I know the supa shape one starts on Monday but get hold of them and find out if it's too late to register and join in. Thats more what u looking for

So I went and got my Polar FT7 sorted out yesterday, new battery and new strap as it was not working, R300 later....

Started my cardio this morning with my run/jog, here is how it went

2.4 km - google maps calculation
FT7 stats
29min
396cal
av bpm - 118
max bpm - 160
fat burn 29min
fitness 11min

So I jog to hit a heart rate of 160 then walk till it comes down to 115 then job again and so on

Is the cal lost during this time ok??

Any advice to my last post about the amount of cal I lost this mornings jog, would like to know if its okish??

Also I have been recording all my measurements on bodybuilding.com since I started and did some new ones 30 mins ago, happy about the following so far

Lost 2cm on my stomach from 98cm to 96cm in 32 days - not great but at least its movement

Also lost on my chest and calves, not very happy about that

On another good note, I increased on my biceps and forearms and upper legs and shoulders... whoop whoop
