dunno , but here in the vuil3hoek all spars and P&P's is kak expensive. all over 50bucks/kilo. I knew a lady in Sifcunda where i could get for R25/kilo delivered.Boneless/skinless. Anyone perhaps know any agents or places i could try in the vaal? shot

Checker Hyper has the special on again.

Just under 30 bucks for 1kg chicken breasts

Beesting, Pick 'n Pay is still way to expensive compared to Checkers.

Even when there are no specials running , checkers is cheaper .

Yes I know pick n pay is expensive, always get chicken fillets at trade centre as they are cheaper than pick n pay and checkers. I was referring to the special only

I will look at Trade Centre again. I looked a few months ago and they were not much better than Pick 'n Pay.

How much did you pay at Trade Centre

Trade centre is R35/kg which is about three rand cheaper than elsewhere. Its also the goldi frozen fillets. But I've noticed at spar there is always water in some of the fresh chicken breast packs, I was getting them around R35 a kilo earlier this year and sometimes they are semi frozen so even the "fresh" chicken fillets were frozen and thawed on the shelves so at the end of the day its better to just buy them frozen

They might be chaeper elsewhere, but P&P's chicken are the only ones that dont smell or taste like chicken. :X

I get all my chicken from DAWOODS Chicken Wholsalers in down Atlas road in Benoni. 10kg at R28/kg. Rocklands filleted boneless chicken breast.....nothing beats it.

thanks didnt spot this one, yip 29 a kilo at spar

for interests sake they have a can of solid tuna at R 7.99 too, picked up a couple of those as well
