I dont think the sugar free ones are bad either. If u calculate how much sugar is in a can of coke, there are a good few teaspoons and then people wonder where all the extra calories come from. All I am worried about in the sugar free cold drinks, which I drink a lot of, is that some contain aspartate (type of sweetener) which is believed to be converted to formaldehyde (used to preserve dead bodies) So if you think about it, you could end up preserving your organs in the long run :X

Aspartame is still metabolized to aspartate but yes the sweetener is aspartame. Aspartate is still believed to have negative effects when consumed in large amounts, regardless of whether people have the enzymes required to metabolize phenyalanine. The sweetener is aspartame... It contains the amino acid phenylalanine, and excessive consumption leads to the build up of metabolites that inhibit energy production in cells.
It's only really a problem in people who are unable to metabolise phenylalanine correctly.
But I know you know this... Rough day Beesting?
