I see your reasoning vega5, but im still pretty confidant. My legs will never be my strong point but these pics still dont do them justice. I have squared them up against guys that have been competing for years and certain aspects of them are alright. I know they look better in correct lighting and when posed properly, and Ogre has been checking my progress and is happy enough with them. I need to get more shape out of them and with some hard training and a bit of cardio i will, add some tan and im ready.

You're right it has been a long road getting this far, and im confident enough to go ahead. this is my first comp, novice level, so i do want to gain some experience from it. If its not my show then so be it, i'll come back next time, but nothings gonna scare me off now. ;)

Um, but im scared of needles...

good attitude spike, only way i would presume to know what you up against is to hop on stage with them... really stocked for you, something i allways wanted to do and can never do because of my knees :( win it for us durban bois :) jeah im living in jhb now but im still a dbn boi :)

Yeah thats what i figure, you dont know until you try... but believe me im gonna work my ass off these next few weeks getting more shape out of my legs, and touching up a few other areas. As well as perfecting my posing til i can do it in my sleep B)

Im the same...quads are pretty big but the calves ahhhhh jaaaaaa ....got the mass there but no shape trying to shape the MFers...

No lets not deadlift as I need a double hip replacement haha

Well done bro!

Just a quick comment. See you want to do cycling for more defined legs. Cycling is def a very good option if you want to ad it as cardio. However, getting definition from cycling comes over a couple of years and not all get it from cycling. It will also take up most of your time (believe me) and will interfere heavely with your gym time. So in my opinion cycling would be great investment for cardio but for leg def it would take dedication in the form of a couple of hours a week over a very long time.

Not a proper flex, im still battling with getting both upper and lower body to flex properly, just need more focus and a mirror, so ya thats not properly flexed, tho i think i got more of a flex in the last shot. I'll take a pic now of just quads so i can flex properly :blush:

Hey spike, legs looking good,
from personal experience if you have access to a stepper/stair climbing machine, give a go for your cardio.
Good leg definition, increases strength, Cuts, plus you'll sweat like a pig!!!
IMO cycling gives better calves than thighs....
More than 10 years cycling couldn't give the definition that stepping could! :)

at Snok there is some potential in you and i like your traps very much
this picture could have been improved with some better posing but right now id say you need to keep on bulking and widen those lats thats your primary building target for the following months to come
i am sure you will look better if you take time to pose a bit more correctly
