Nope, no feathers - you pay extra if you want those! Hehehe, that's the secret - eating the feathers will make you hyooge!

The chicken is good quality, I just hit it with some soy sauce and throw it in the Foreman Grill. I know some places inject a lot of water into the meat so you lose all that weight when you cook it, but I've been buying from these guys for a couple years now and so far it's all been good.

Regarding Dawood and there chicken breast im not always to impressed. They normally have three different brands on sale, Romeo, Goldi and another 1 that I cant remember. Do not buy the romeo one its K@K. When u defrost it, it turns into a slime ball (litterally giveing of slime) and everybody that i have spoken to about this have this problem. Goldi i find of better quality but abit more expensive.

I know get my chicken at my butcher for R20/kg. But we have a nice dealing going on. ;)

:cheer: Very good price !

Rocklands is definitely the cleanest and most tender chicken breasts on the market. I get mine delivered at home in Pta for R300(10kg).

If everybody does it, is it still cheating?

So you guys are saying that you would pay less for chicken that has been imported from Brazil and not buy chicken that is locally produced?

Eish...I used to be a butcher, we used to import whole mutton from OZ, I tell you it was the worst stuff you could ever buy...this stuff (I wont even call it chicken) from Brazil, same thing, there is a reason you are paying less for it, gets injected with brine, not water to save costs. Brine is pretty siff stuff...it is NaCL, good ol table salt...

Anyways...I would rather pay a bit more for locally produced chicken.

Saizen, I agree with you. I think people underestimate the quality of the locally produced products. For example if you get your water supply from Rand Water then your getting cleaner water than out of a Valpre bottle. Our production practises are better than most first world countries.

Vega, I really don't know. Give them a call. At that price who cares anyway whether it's frozen or not?

Thanks for the heads up man. just a quick question Goldi chicken livers says 100g contains 16g protein & 2.3g total fat, so would this be good to eat when bulking and/or even cutting?

Nice Thread

I've been paying R53/kg for chicken breasts from PnP - Northgate.
I can't afford these anymore.

Is the Rocklands chicken breast good?
Where can I find a distributor in Randburg?
