I gymed at home for a while. I still do and have a fair amount of weight. I like my new gym now. Its quiet except between 15h00 and 18h00. There is alot of weight. The equipment is old and out dated and this keeps the ignorant away. The support staff is the gym members.

When I was a teenager I had a brief membership at a virgin, and I liked it then. But then I was ignorant and egotistical, spending most of my time grunting and screaming with my mates hoping that if enough young bunnies looked in my direction one of them would :woohoo: me.

Seems kinda silly in retrospect

I train at the Planet Fitness Platinum in sandton a very well equit gym, but the amount of idiots that train there and the personal trainers that look they belong in a macdonald commercial that will set you back about 7000.00 rand per month - 4 sessions a week is another story.

You need to see these guys that weigh around 60 - 65kgs.They mostly do machine and cable wieghts and then pose every time the complete a set or two.The thing that kills me the most is the looks these wankers give you becasue they think they big boys casue they lift a couple of kilos.This is when i pile the weights and deadlift 130kg to show them what lifting is realy about.

One thing I hate about Virgin Active's are they seem to be moving to "Health club"
trying to attact more runners and batty boys.

They have taken out the decline benches and belt for weighted dips.

I really hate guys pushing light weights(lighter than wat i can do;) ) and then throwing them on the floor.. i mean some huge guys pushing huge weights put down the weights quietly but it always seems to be the guys who think they are big that do it...

i totally agree. all the decline benches & belts have vanished and instead we got a couple new punching bags.

what i really don't like is having to compete for a machine with some woman and there's this huge black dude who's always making lots of noise when he does any exercise. he's a total arsehole.

We dont even have punching bags anymore.They removed them and the speed balls.

As for the big black dude. Some people make a noise when the train. I make noises sometimes. I found it helps with lift.

Especiallu the high pictched noises like in tennis! Haaa - I (joke ba ha hoo hee)

The most entertaining thing I find about working out at Virgin Active is the dudes that suffer from ILS, whats ILS you may ask???? Well, Imaginery Lat Syndrome. Its hilarious how a kid with NO lats whatsoever is walking around the gym as if he's Dorian Yates. It gets me everytime haha.

I call it bonehead syndrome, happens alot down here in nightclubs, We have quite a few look alikes in our VA like Cutler, Arnie, Dorian but they all seem to weigh around 60-65kg and have mouths bigger than Dolly Parton on a bad day.

I hate it when a really hot chick in really tight thights gets onto the treadmill! Damn, that ass looks so tempting and with all testosterone in the body, you just cant concentrate on training!
