Hey guys

Thought let's add some fun while going through this together.

Who has still been training? What have you guys been getting up to. I don't have any equipment at home so been doing some pushups, handstand pushups for shoulders and sit ups and some walking lunges. My little family has been doing some exercises to videos on TV, funniest thing to watch.

What's some good exercises to do without access to iron?

Also who is struggling with not over eating because I am

Hey pump wusup brother. I've been doing resistance training with my wife yesterday. For eg as a chest press exercise I'd sit on the couch with my fists forward like I'm holding the handles of a chest press machine and my wife just applies her full body weight. Same goes for arm exercises ( triceps pushdown, bicep curls etc ). I've always been doing squats with her on my back lol. Partner workouts seems to be a great thing too and since I'm a MMA fighter I have some punching bag equipment too.

I have a little equipment, bench, bars, around 70kg weights. Have not been doing much though, been a little chesty last 2 weeks. No fever, sore throat...so...out of boredom yestetday, did some chest. Threw some dumbells around. Chest feels nice today.

Jeff cavalier has a video on YouTube for exercises u can do at home without equipment. Give it a look see...

Whilst on this, what about nutrition/supplements for immune system during this time? My regiment currently is a multivit, vit c, zinc, garlic caps, black seed oil, honey, apple cider, saw palmetto, one cycle support, maca powder, pine bark, tongat ali, tribulus, horny goat weed (pct done, but no chance to do bloods with current situation, hence some testosterone support there) so, what u think, missing anything or over-kill?

Wow that's allot of stuff, bwhaha. I'm using staminogro extra zink and magnesium and a small dose vitamin C with flaxseed. Using most things I can to boost natural test while on this extensive PCT. Cant wait to get bloods done to see how my recovery looks.

I’ve got a permit as essential worker so have been doing some things working and been too tired to get a proper session in. However I’ve been throwing around some dumb bells and bench presses as well. When bored I do push ups lol.

However for the bulk of my time I’m just relaxing and enjoying the views which gets taken for granted everyday .

So good for the mind. I also have a permit so I assume your job is also pretty intense, using free time to clean the mind, stay in prayer, look into the distance. The other day I was lying by the pool playing that game of finding images in the clouds. The brain does contain a muscle,, cellular structure, matter and so forth. So good job. I find balancing the mind certainly balances the body dropping cortisol, helping you stay more anabolic, so good job;)

Im liking the lock down. I can certainly gain weight rn. Seemingly i need to bulk like Oupa said. Im focussing on diet and playing mostly PC games and studying. Doing some pushups when i get "barbell cravings".

One thing I do hate is the absolute boredom. Im way too much of a social creature!

I have a Powertec WB-MS and a Body-Solid GLGS100P4 machine at home with half a ton of weights :P

Was looking forward to the lockdown, but then got a cold somehow... at least I hope it's a cold. I'm still a little weak at the moment, but should be able to train again in 2-3 days.

Haha, at least you hope.. I'm sure it is. Well you have the generics to grow quickly so let's see what happens when you back in action. That looks like quite the machine. You haven't broken your bench again have you :silly:

Morning brothers. Over eating..definitely struggling big time with that one..always hungry and eating up my stockpile quickly. Training is a challenge yes. I miss the gym and the motivation that kicks in when you walk into the gym. I've got some old school federal weights..still those with the balls...heavy buggers, and some cement balls, wooden sleepers and chains. Been doing some training outside with them and they provide a good old school strength workout. Sticking to compound movements, carries, presses and squats. So far going well. Also kicking up the cardio a notch now with lots of skipping.

We have a power rack and about 220 kg of weights so workouts haven't really changed for us. I haven't pulled that much in a while, so it should be sufficient for the foreseeable future. The dogs make me run around the house every now and then so enough on the cardio front. As I work from home and with work being very busy at the moment I haven't had time to 'enjoy' the lock down yet.

The little one is taking it very hard though. But baby yoga on Youtube seems to work wonders. The missus and little one end up doing yoga, zoomba and all kinds of bendy and stretchy things. There is a lot of activities the kids can get involved in on Youtube. Digital nanny to the rescue.

I've made some fantastic progress since we last spoke, the cold is just a minor roadblock... I was planning to take a week off anyway. I bought the Powertec machine after my squatting accident, so injuries and broken benches are a thing of the past... these Powertec and BodySolid leverage machines are safe for guys that train alone at home and the quality is good so the welds shouldn’t crack, hopefully.

Nice man! Training on your own is pretty hectic when trying to load the weight. You finding your strength coming back nicely? You still got those oldschool Arnold weights ?

Very slowly, but I'm also 10+ yrs older so cannot expect to make the same gains.

You mean the Reg Park weight plates, still have them. Don't use them much since they have standard holes and my machines use olympic holes. I can have them drilled to olympic sizes, but don't really want to.

In times like this, I like to fall back to some Crossfot WOD's for some endurance and leaning out.

My go to WOD without weights: 'CINDY'

As many rounds as possible in 20 minutes:

Round:
5 Pull-ups
10 Push-ups
15 Squads

It's a killer...

Sore today, strong tomorrow!!!

Forgot to add i did it with my 10kg dumbbell. Goblet squats were the worse tho. Im naturally inclined to do pull ups so that wasnt the problem.

Did the squats instead in 25 rep versions and let me tell you it burned like hell !!!! Will up time everyday.

I think this is practical.
