Thing is that I feel the hype about tablets is for nothing. What do you really do with them? I just browse a little and visit a couple of forums. Even replying emails are painful because it's so much more comfortable and productive on a PC/Mac.

Waiting for them to launch the HTC One X+ 64 gig and Galaxy S3 64 Gig. Hopefully we will get them here. One X + has an upgraded battery now and a slightly faster processor.

Yup mine sits powered off, hacked it, over clocked GPU/CPU, installed all the cool stuff I could, now its a waste of time and space... So it will just sit somewhere in the house not being used.

Yes, I've yet to find someone that actually use a pad for something productive. Now suddenly Apple claim that pads are the post PC era, kak.

I bought my iPad 3 to reply emails on the go and tried it once while waiting at the dentist and I've never been so uncomfortable and slow. I'll probably have to buy a Macbook Air 11" now and regret spending the R7500 on a useless piece of equipment.

So obviously there is no microsoft office on ipad or galaxy so how effective are the apps for ipad ect that let you work in that format and then move the work you have done back onto the pc? Just looking for very basic excell and word stuff !

This is not as easy as it seems. I have an ipad 3 and am mobile a LOT. I thought numbers (by apple) would be the answer to my excel issues, as it syncs with the cloud. Lets just say it was suboptimal. I use dropbox now, and load into numbers what i need, then back to dropbox (which syncs seamlessly with my pc and laptop).

But numbers doesnt come CLOSE to supporting the kind of formulas i use on excel (im an accountant running foreign sites, so all our reporting is in excel).

For now, its great t view and track changes and updates people make when im between sites, but if i need to work on a file, i have to haul the 17" laptop out.

Like I said, pads are not productive and thats where they catch us all, because 80% of iPad and Galaxy pad owners bought theirs to work on the move and most of them are very disappointed by the lack of real world functionality.

Trying to do Excel on an iPad or Galaxy will cause to you to use a large amount of profanity and u might even end up killing urself. I still can't justify spendng that cash on a tablet. For the type of work I do, I will always need a laptop.

Come to think of it, I've never actually seen anyone doing proper work on a tablet. Loads of staff have these tablets in meetings but they either use it for mail or some other mundane task like Twitter, Facebook, Zite, Flipboard or angry birds or to makes some meeting notes. I honestly don't think they use it for hardcore work.
