So what's the ETA on a mobi site. I probably spend 95% of my time on the forum off my BB and it would be nice to have that functionality.

I have looked at making a mobile friendly template for the site and it's not that hard, however the forum is a problem because it contains allot of things that that will have to be crammed up into a very small viewing area. One solution is to make use of ajax menus for stuff like avatars, karma ect and only display the absolute necessary things like, username, subject and post text. Modifying the forum software myself to do this is impossible and will create allot of difficulties when upgrading and keeping the site secure, so the easiest and most reliable solution will be to program my own mobile forum solution that rides off the database currently being used... then install that in a sub domain like mobi.anabolicsteroids.co.za and detect a mobile visitor and automatically redirect him to the mobile site...
I will have to do some digging in the code to see how the site and forum handle sessions ect. This is a big task though and best would be to speak to the forum developers as they might be interested in getting an open source project started.
EDIT: vBulletin already have a mobile feature and I looked at migrating to a standalone forum, but getting the site and forum to share users is not so easy and there is no bridge available to do this reliably. As soon as you update something the entire thing needs to be modified again. Some site use database triggers to keep users between databases synced, but the beauty of this site is it's simplicity. This was intentionally done by me, because simpler is better. KISS - "Keep it simple, Stupid!"
