SNOK1986 wrote: yeah def agree with all the guys being naturally big. But playing a contact sport like that roughens u up big time makes u hard as nails. If a 130kgs bber and a 100kg rugby player got into a fight i think the rugby player is def gonna come out on top purely coz the rugby player has taken the hits in rucks and mauls ur body comes accustomed to it.

Therefore coming from not playing rugby in awhile and into psychical contact u gonna be in paaaain! also a BBer on the field might look good but that mass is gonna do fuck all for u unless u in the scrum.

For the BB vs rugga player fight, it all depends on who's the better fighter. Playing rugby only means you're aren't shy of the physical stuff, all things being equal I'd back the BB who's got 30kg on his opponent.

And true that about BBing not being that helpful on the field, Pierre Spies is testament of that :P

I guess I'll have to see it to believe it, and none of the Ikeys boys really look impressive as well

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

@ Deadgoat well im sure when u have actually played a rugby game and u take the hits u will understand where im coming from.

Never said BBing isnt helpful on the field and maybe thats why Pierre spies is in the scrum? ;)

Wow, am i in pain. Calf and wrist each took a good knock and the shoulders are burning. Played lock (everyone wanted to be a flank, and the scrums were uncontested) and almost managed a whole half :P pity it was only 30 minute halves :P

Fitness leaves much to be desired but i tell you the added strength works wonders in the rucks and mauls... Awesome when you can just throw the other guys around and push them right out your way. I dominated the breakdown :)

With a bit of fitness it would be even more enjoyable, as early in my run when i had the energy to support the runners, i was rewarded with a neat pop and powered over the line :):):)first try ive ever scored i think

We beat the buggers 25-0

Um, but im scared of needles...

ooh, aching a bit this morning... Wrist and calf are ok, just bruised now and a nice stud mark down my leg. But the joints are aching and my back and shoulders are stiff. Will still be doing a big leg session tonight.

The guys we played were youngsters, and pretty small... Was great fun manhandling them.
The flipping jerseys we play in are old school huge things, so i didnt stand out much... But after the game when the jerseys came off i overheard a few comments from the opposition ;)

Right now I need a Chiro session and a good massage

Um, but im scared of needles...
