Did bis tris and forearms tonight got home pine my st320 and immediately arm went dead got pins and needles and a hectic burning sensation for about 25mins would rather do pre from now on lol. But no pain anymore.
Think could be that the muscles were swollen or something.
Just happy pain is gone amped for next pin

Waldu wrote: Rvp. Pinning quads is a breeze I must say even for a virgin muscle I didn't even have much pain the next few days. Just a bit of stiffness when the muscle is cold. Its a easy muscle to pin. I went over to delts now and must say although it still doesn't hurt ill rate quads less painfull. Out of 10 shots in the quad I only drew blood once and didn't hit any nerves.

Aqueel. I've herd that its because of a virgin muscle, but must say I didn't experience that at all. But I'm sure that's all it was.

Yep definitely virgin muscles. Pinned in 2 more times again and its been a breeze. Only problem is switching over to the other leg quad. Thats gonna be a bitch! :S

this is from a read on an injecting method called the Z track method hope its useful :)

How to employ the Z track method?

Firstly get your injection point, then pull the skin across or down from that point, this moves the cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues a centimetre or two, this helps reduce the sensitivity of nerve endings, remembering to keep an eye on the injection point.

Next insert the needle sharply in at a 90dg angle to the depth you need.
Inject the steroid (after aspirating) at a rate of about 10 secs/ml, when fully injected keep the needle in place for another 10secs, so allowing the steroid to seep into the muscle.
Remove the syringe quickly, at exactly the angle you went in and release the skin, this is what stops any of your steroid leaking out and reduces bleeds, then apply a little pressure to the area, but don't massage the area, this can cause some of the oil to be released back up the needle track and into subcutaneous tissue, which can lead to swelling and PIP.

Exercising the muscle afterwards will assist the absorption of the steroid by increasing blood flow to the area.

RVP: If you inject yourself then the chances are good that you just moved the needle around too much while you were injecting. It happened to me on my third pin too.

Yeah it could be that bro. Also you are injecting into virgin muscle so it's par for the course to be sore at the beginning but luckily it should go away after a while.

@RVP: Dude, use the Z-track method like Kaloob said, when I used it I had like zero pain at all (and I was even using Evolve).

In case you didn't understand what was meant in Kaloob's post, this is how you use the Z-Track method when injecting into your quads:

1) Take your thumb & middlefinger and grip your quad. Fingers must be diagonally apart (as if they are on the tips of a 'Z').

2) Make sure you've gripped a bit of the quad muscle and pull it up slightly by squeezing.

3) Place the pin on the centre of the 'Z' and push in slowly. You may pass some nerve endings which will feel weird at first, but the only real thing that happens is that your quad will twitch a little.

4) Once pin is all the way in you can slowly release your grip of your quad, and then aspirate & inject at a slow pace.

5) Once all the oil is injected, keep the pin in your quad for a further 30 seconds.

6) After 30 seconds, slowly pull the needle out and have a swab ready to apply gentle pressure to the injection site for a further 30 seconds.

The reason for doing everything slowly is to ensure that you inject straight, miss nerve ending, and inevitably cause as little pain as possible.

I followed that method and I had zero injection pain, maybe a little discomfort at times when the pin passed nerve endings, but not pain. The only 'pain' I ever experienced after following that method was stiffness like the day after training legs hard.

All the best with your cycle bro hope this helps:)

when using a 23G needle in quads , is it possible to pass the muscle and hit nerves or even the bone if needle got all way in ?

im asking bec i tried to practice injecting my quad to get used to the feeling before starting but when i got almost 3/4 the needle i felt i hit some nerves that made me twitch and get out the needle automatically :/

Yeah it possibly was a nerve, can only think that this is what made you twitch. What exactly were you practicing with - liquid wise?
