Hey bud, give the search function a go using the phrase "first cycle" as most guys will use the template here. I'm sure you'll find something akin to what you need.

Thanks Furk. No results with regard to vaping so would be keen to hear if there's any input on the topic.

Here is something I copied from another forum:
"Nicotine is actually a metabolic stimulator as well as an anti-estrogenic compound and appetite suppressant"

I don't have a lot of time right now to verify whether these things are true and as I've never smoked - I can't tell you from personal experience. If these are true then it won't effect your cycle much/at all.

" Nicotine has a few mechanisms at its roots. The first is that nicotine mimics the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and can directly activate acetylcholine receptors (which can then induce increases of catecholamines such as adrenaline a dopamine; this mechanism underlies both potential addiction and fat burning). Nicotine may also act as an anti-estrogenic compound, inhibiting aromatase and one of the two estrogen receptors directly; this may underlie some of the side-effects associated with chronic usage of nicotine, particularly in women. Finally, nicotine is pro-oxidative in nature but at a level which may be hormetic in nature, that works with the acetylcholine mechanism just mentioned to exert anti-inflammatory effects.

Nicotine appears to have a role as a fat burner due to its mechanisms, which for the most part increase adrenaline and then work through beta-adrenergic receptors (the molecular target of Ephedrine); this increase in adrenaline mediates the increase in metabolic rate which is significant but short-lived with moderate usage. The increase in lipolysis (how available fatty acids are to be burnt) appears to be mediated by other, possibly pro-oxidative, mechanisms and not by adrenaline."

-Kurtis Frank

I've looked nicotine in the past, but I'm turned down by addictive ability. I'm susceptible to addiction, especially stimulants. Cognitive affects are a cool plus.

Iron K.

I'm confused by your posts on other parts of the forum.

Why don't you give us some progress on your cycle and goals?

Also regarding the related issue about taking bloods, what's your cycle history? What are your drinking habits off-cycle?

Nice frame.

What is confusing? I'd be happy to clarify anything.

Progress update:
My strength gains have increased dramatically. Suddenly deadlifting 140kg x 10 reps for 3 sets with a smile. Ok. Not smiling but sure am afterwards. That being said I'm getting a crazy burn in my lower back with deads that lingers for some time to the point of having to find a weird position to sit to take pressure off the muscle. I figured it's just lactic acid from the intense work.

Size wise: there was a dramatic increase after week one. But now at the end end of week two I've hardly noticed a change. This is why I was asking about what realistically I should expect to put on. The scale seems to be stuck at 81. I've posted my diet and is also why I'm asking about nicotene as I had expected to see a more drastic increase in weight. So feeling a little dispondent but will keep monitoring it and trust that the gear will do what it needs to. I'm sleeping 8 hours a night and being disciplined with the diet. Maybe I need to look at included a weight gainer shake to up the calories? I've always been a hard gainer.

This is my first cycle with test. Almost 2 years ago I did an oral primo and proviron cycle. Again, no bloods done unfortunately. But followed proper PCT.

Off cycle my drinking habits fluctuate. In my early twenties I drank a lot (as well as used other narcotocs) until I decided to get my act together and come clean. Wouldn't be surprised if I had caused some damage in those days. So in the last two years there's maybe 3 months a year (spread out, not consecutively) where I slip up with my training and drink a little more than I should. As much as possible I stay dedicated to fitness and healthy nutrition otherwise.

Oh. And in terms of goal. I did mention it but I would like to come out at maintaining between 88 and 90kg post PCT. At 81kg now, 2 weeks in, I'm not sure that's realistic.

Give us more details on exactly what you're taking?

Test type?
Other compounds?
Dosage?
frequency?

That back burn is called back pump - It's a bitch!!!!
I'm trying Taurine supplements to try reduce the effect of back pump as it kills my legs sessions.
But still to early to tell if its working.

Hi Oupiel

Apologies... The full schedule is on another thread. I'm taking tbol 40mg ED. Test cyp 250mg (1ml) every 4 days. Letrozole EOD. Winnie as a bridge... going to review the dose soon and order more as oupa recommended that I increase it. Hcg at 500iu a week from week 4 and PCT 2.

Thanks for the info about the back pump. Please keep me posted about the effect of taurine. Will give it a go.

Cheers

Hi Iron K.

The confusion was that some of your issues weren't in the same thread. No big deal.

Sorry to make you repeat yourself: How long is your cycle? I'm specifically interested in the time between your Tbol kicker and your Winny bridge.

Still, go ahead and look at your bloods after you end the Tbol and look at your liver enzymes.
Besides the over-the-counter meds that we generally use, a good GP will prescribe something to help you recover if you are in a bad position.

I forget what it was, but my doc prescribed me something he claimed returned one of his patients from liver failure. It improved my values.

As for the back pumps, I have the same problem at the moment - just walking up a flight of stairs triggers it. I've also got Taurine on hand and will give it a try and report.

Yo Kobra, I take Taurine and CrampEase (2 caps each) post workout. Works like a charm. Never had back pumps when I was on Tbol though.

I'm running the test for 11 weeks at 250 mg every 4 days. Tbol at 40mg ED for 7 weeks. And Winnie after the 11th week as bridge. So there'll be a month break between tbol and Winnie.

I think it's alright, the winnie is more harsh on the liver than Tbol. If it was winnie first then Tbol a month later I reckon that would be straining your liver.

Perhaps take some milk thistle or something for a while after the Tbol even?

Thanks Lobo. I can be a bit impatient at times. I'll weigh in again after a month and post some progress pics for your guys input. Seeing as it's my first cycle I'm not keen to start upping doses just yet but if after a month you guys feel I could be getting more from the cycle safely I'll consider it.

Cheers

Hey Namaste.

I was actually planning on posting a full update on Sunday with pics of my progress, etc. We can compare more notes then.

But overall it's been great. I finished my first bottle of Tbol on Friday. I accidently bought two bottles so ill be running tbol for just over 6 weeks. :)

I've put on about 5kg. Focusing a lot on core strength and overall the shape of my body has changed. Really filled out! Strength has really increased as well.

Will be starting hcg on Sunday.

Will post more details on Sun bro!

Hi guys.

Time for an update.

4 weeks in and I've gained just over 6 kg. Sitting at 86.3kg now and really feeling more solid overall. As I've mentioned, my goal is really to strengthen my base, so focusing on the basics... Squats, deads, presses and filling in with auxiliary movements at higher reps.

My training has a number of personal motivations behind it and I have to say. For my first cycle.... I'm hooked. >:) My approach was to make sure I had a good foundation and the basics in place and controlled before going on cycle (diet, sleep, training) and only intended for the gear to assist with recovery.... not do the work for me. And boy has it met my expectations!

Just to give some context, this was me, June 2014, after having gone through an array of personal challenges and struggles:

And this is where I am now....

Cycle wise, I've experienced no noticeable negative side effects, other than a severe increase in legarthia / sleepiness during the day. But I assume this is due to the increased volume I'm lifting.

Starting HCG today, and really looking forward to the rest of the cycle.

The experience has been awesome, and my message to all the other first timers is to make sure you understand your body before going on cycle as well as understanding what substances you choose to use and how they work and interact. I've really learned that gear is not a miracle subtance, but really compliments a healthy life style and fast tracks progress IF you have your nutrition, rest and overall health and wellbeing in check. The goal shouldn't be a quick fix.... but rather a contributing factor to long term success in achieving your goals.

Cheers.

Guys, quick questions on the hcg.

1. I've mixed in the water but the powder is just sitting at the bottom of the vial. Doesn't seem to be mixing with the water. I don't want to shake it as I know I could damage the particles. Any advice?

2. I know the potency dimishes with time even if stored in the fridge. According to what I've read it will be pretty much useless after 30 days? I'm starting now at 250iu every 4 days. This will let me run it until a few days before PCT but essentially means I'm using this vial over the next 76 days. Will the HCG still be effective over that length a period??

1) Just slowly turn the bottle in all directions until the powder is dissolved.

2) You can pre-load insulin syringes and store the HCG in the freezer.
