No problem at all as long as your training is intense.

Hi guys
I find it hard to hit the gym 2x a day as fat loss is my goal.
Hitting the weights straight after 40min cardio, empty stomach.
What's needed more a pre-workout or a bcaa drink?
After training 40grams whey and a meal within an hour.

Thanks

I'd have whey it's got Bcaa's in it and I'd do my cardio after weights and not before if I was you.

It all about cals in vs cals out Bud. If your eating under maintenance and doing cardio straight after weight when glycogen is depleted you'll loose weight.
If your eating more than maintenance all the cardio and gym in the world won't do dick for your waist line.

That is not right. If you are eating more than maintenance then the energy principle states that you will not lose weight. You can pick up weight as muscle and still lose fat. For example take someone eating exactly maintenance calories. Without understanding the energy principle properly you will say that he will remain exactly the same. But that is not true. He can indeed pick up muscle and lose the same amount of fat in terms of energy. Also think about how many people go on cycle and eat like girls, yet still gain lots of muscle and lose fat. What happens there is that the anabolics shifts the balance in favour muscle building. I am over-simplifying terribly because the body is a complex system with countless ways of expending energy, but I am giving you the basic idea. Remember from 8th grade science that energy can be transferred from one form to another, so why can't the fat be transformed into energy that the muscles will use? The purpose of fat in the body is to store ebergy for when it needs it.

Dude do you really think this guys diet and training are fine tuned and he's doing a recomp? If he's doing 40min cardio followed by a weight session fasted there is no way he's picking up muscle.

1 hour before your training
take some whey and oats, mix them in a blender - 1 serving whey, 60grams of oats

30 mins before gym, have your creatine

Do your training - sip on 500ml of water with Bcaa's
Do you 20 mins of cardio - HIIT style, which is, slow cardio then very fast, then slow, then very fast, read up on this
As you walk out the gym, have your serving of whey, Bcaas, Glutamine, fast digesting carbs

If your weight does not move, try adding 20mins of cardio in the morning as you wake

Ok. get hold DJ then and explain your prodicament and he'll sort you out. If he has you doing fasted cardio I'm sure he won't want you doing your weight training straight after that so he may need to change your training and diet around a bit.

Your in good hands
Good luck Learner.

His particular situation has nothing to do with your claims about maintenance calories. There are others reading this and they might take your statements as general fact.

Day 10 today of no smoking, its going very well but...

I'm no longer 89kg, I'm now 92kg, that's over 10 days

I cant stop snacking in between meals, fruit and nuts and anything I can get my hands on.... and its all gone to my gut, I can see it and feel it...

what to do, what to do...

I have done some reading on Keto and as awesome as it sounds, im wondering if I should not consider a bulk now during winter and then run a full keto before summer to get the fat off

Thoughts please

I quit smoking two years ago and have not touched one. Mostly thanks to Champix. I had no withdrawals and no weight gain. I recommend it.

Today I will do what I never thought possible!

Dude, u must be joking, no food cravings? come on!!!

If I could eat my left arm I would.....

As for bulk, try and bulk as clean as possible????

Cal in per day 2500 up to 3500 with cardio to prevent sluggish metabolism?

Thoughts and suggestions

1000 calorie increase off the bat? Even with cardio you will be putting on fat at a rate of knots.

You should just keep cutting. You will only make it harder for yourself when the time comes to cut by bulking now.

Chapel, so what u saying is Keto after a bulk wont work the way I plan

I'm still very confused about something

If while cutting and eating in a deficit each day, does one still grow muscle or not at all?

Stupid question but I really don't know the answer

No, keto will work no matter when you use it. But you will make it a lot harder to lose the weight if you bulk now before summer when the time comes to cut it.

If you are in a deficit it is unlikely that you will gain much muscle, I say 'much' because your body will still change on a clean diet while you are losing fat and your muscles are still being stimulated.

So based on this I understand that

I should carry on this year with cutting and not putting on much muscle at all while eating at a deficit.

I take it then that everyone is doing this?

So when my body hits say 8% body fat, whats the plan then? When does the time come to actually put on some muscle mass and how does one go about this without putting on the fat?

Thanks for the reply
