Hay guys

Do you guys personally think that BCAA makes a difference or is it a waist of money

Personally I think that if you have whey pre and post workout that you get enough amino asides though your protein, but again that is only my personal opinion about it

Would like to here some more personal opinions about this subject and personal experience with BCAA's if it made any difference or helped add mass or anything els or was it a waist of money , money you could have used to buy more protein

:) :P

The rice crispies interist me rhino

Why use rice crispies instead of vitargo or dextros??

And do you use anything as a intra-workout?

I find rice crispies more satisfying than Dextrose. If I have an inta on like a legs day for instance(40g creamass/20g bcaa) then I won't have a post shake I'll have a whole meal instead. For me a whole meal is 120g chicken, cooked weight. 2 cups rice, veg and 15ml olive oil.

Go big or go home...

BCAA's usefulness is purpose dependant IMO.
If you are getting in enough good quality protein sometime before and after workouts, it's not worth it.
If you're having whey pre/post, your probably covered (although adding a little Leucine to your shake may prove beneficial).
If you are training fasted, taking 10g before and after will be beneficial (resistance training without any protein intake is detrimental).
If you are an untrained or inexperienced athlete, it may help your workouts.

I use leucine (which is the important one of the three and cheap when bought on its own) during a cruise. It's not a game changer but it does stimulate protein synthesis though. But its all about the protocol, some things work in synergy, if you know what they are you can put a few things together and get a much better effect ;)

I think Bcaa's are really useful when cutting but if your maintaining or growing have another chicken tit instead.

Another time when aminos come in handy is for people who workout very early in the morning and have no time to eat you'd use them intra wo probably with simple carbs.

Wake up earlier and have a shake of whey and oats or Rhinos whey and coconut oil then sleep till you want to get up.

At first I got agitasted because this thread answers questions that could be looked up using the search function + all over the internet. Then my gears started to grind when information within this very thread gets repeated as a new post.

Furk

if you can see that the question was personal opinions about this subject and personal experience with BCAA's

So how would you get that answer on the internet?

The only answer you will get on the internet about BCAA's are half-assed lies and clams so that the product can sell better , no honest opinions or personal experience with the product just business scams so the product would sell

@Chem1: Probably 2nd reverse assessing my most recent blood tests. :P

@donkiekong: My opinions are that they are useful. As mentioned, when cutting for sure, training on an empty stomach, and when there's no food around after a workout I sip BCAAs until I get a quality meal in me.

Pro tip: When buying BCAA, look for the purest stuff. Avoid mixes and flavours cause that'll be spending money on watered down product. From my experience: the worse it smells & tastes (like cat piss IMO) the more pure it is. If I remember correctly it's the Leucine in BCAAs that is always a hassle to mix.

I've used some of Biogen's BCAA loaded. Doesn't taste all that great (so i imagine it's on a the purer side). Right now i'm using some Amino Power Plus from the same crowd. No carbs ;)

I'd imagine top brands will differ from person to person. One might say Universal, MuscleTech, and maybe BSN. I just dunno if i'd wanna spend that sort of money on these supps.

When will be the best time to use BCAA , I am going to start doing fasted cardio from monday , and 20min cardio after my workout , when will be the best time to use the BCAA??

I am thinking that the bcaa will have more use when doing fasted cardio , because I have a whey shake before my workout and a whey shake after my workout

I see most of the BCAAs recommend taking them before, during, and after a workout. Personally, i use it during my working as an intra.

Hey donkiekong. I'm going to start by saying members on this site love helping other guys out. We are a small community. But answering questions that can easily be answered themselves or solved with common sense is just irritating. I'm not shooting down all your questions and curiosities on this forum. Ask away, but here are some tips bud:

1) Check if the question has been asked recently or if there has been an informative thread about it in the past. Most anabolic steroids, chemicals and popular supplements have had at least 1 thread of their own in the past.

2) Lurk where you are unfamiliar/ curious about something. Give advice where you are very knowledgeable about something. Ask questions where you need help with something. (You’ll notice I don’t post much in the steroid section because I’m absorbing all the gear-guru’s advice there, but I usually have a fat mouthful to say in the nutrition, supplementation and training sections if I have the patience to type.)

3) Internet and forum etiquette.

That being said, let me answer your question about quality BCAA’s and selection:

1) Go are pure as you can for ALL supplements. Learn to read the labels and contents. For BCAAs, the more pure it is the worse it will smell and taste unfortunately. Also if a BCAA product mixes easily that is really nice as one of the protein (not sure which one) takes a good few minutes to dissolve.

2) For choosing supplements, decide what your goals are BEFORE buying or contemplating anything. If you heard a certain supplement is really good, but it doesn’t suit your needs – forget about it until the time comes.

3) For your questions about BCCAs, have a read HERE and HERE . Otherwise:
Do you eat soon after the fasted cardio? If not, take it before your first meal of the day some time, if you do: just ensure good quality protein with breakfast. Are you on a calorie deficient? If so add some BCAAs around your workout (intra workout works well). Nutritech Amino Boost vs. Titan Labs Amino rush? Go check the composition of each and/or see if they fit your goals. I would go with raw.

Don’t take my post too hard. I know you aren't completely new around here, just thought I’d give you a friendly heads up. Hope my advice helps.
