Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

Number one biter of children world wide, Labradors. Get a Golden Retriever, really lovely and rather useless.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been living my life thinking Labradors and Golden Retrievers were the same thing

Still think it also depends on how a dog is brought up.my friends have 6 pitbulls they will probably lick you to death.my bull terrier is like a year old now if he knows you you can stroke him even when he eats.he has bitten 2 people but they wanted to break in.

yeah fair enough, it has a lot to do with the upbringing. pit-bulls can be really friendly and placid dogs if they're brought up right. some people enjoy turning them into monsters though

My 5 year old sister's scared shitless of dogs was thinking of getting her a puppy to help her get over that fear, what's a good dog to have around children? Not looking for a guard dog or anything just something that's not gonna bite her and not high maintenance

Get a miniature worshound. The friendliest lap dogs in the world. My family has had golden retrievers our entire lives and even bred them.. The maintenance gets frustrating.

There is the nature vs. nurture debate, but if a dog has been bred for 100 generations to be a killer, it will still have that instinct in the back of its head. Whether that will come out or not is debatable, but one should rather start out with something bred for the purpose you want it for than try and make a housedog out of an elephant.

Nope the colours don't have much to do with it, its more linked to the amount of hair. Less hair means more poisen as the use their hair as self defence, they kick it off and it irritates skin and eyes. Oldworld spiders have less hair larger fangs and more poisen. New world has more hair less poisen and smaller fangs. The thai black is one sick bitch, very aggressive and quiet poisonous. Taranatulas has never had a recorded human fatality due to poison. But might have due to allergic reaction.

Im looking for a dog called a ***DOGO ARGENTINO***, its a freaking awesome dog that is highly protective but very friendly in nature... Just by the way they eat rotweilers and pitbulls for breakfast... (LOL)

So does anyone by anychance know of any breeders that I can contact??? Google DOGO ARGENTINO and you will see if you dont know of it...

You're nuts. There's a reason they're outlawed in most first world countries. Their temperaments are very unstable, and are not suited to household life. I have personally handled them whilst showing in Russia, and not a fuck will i ever own one. And this coming from a guy who has a Dobermann and Giant Schnauzer who are trained to take a man down on command.

Hahaha lol I just love them, its all about how you socialise them, have met one that is very placid and fantastic with kids. The only prob the breeder wants R15,000.00 per pup,,, way more than I am willing to pay unfortunately

Labs are great dogs and never aggressive to humans, mine just begged for more and more love and attention and will love you to there deaths. They are lovely dogs on a serious note and are protective over there loved ones. Our Lab actually saved a little girl that fell into our swimming pool, it jumped in, gently took her wrist in his mouth and swam her out, not a scratch on her and he was never trained to do that. He did the same a few years later when we got a Parsons Jack Russel puppy (THEEE BEST BREED OF JACK RUSSEL EVER!!!) fell into the pool, the lab tried to pull her out from the side but she kept slipping from his mouth as he did not want to put too much pressure and eventually he jumped in and swam her to the step and lifted her outh. Lovely breed of dog, and very placid. Only thing i would say is they get a bit wild when excited and could maybe knock a small child down unintentionally while they are playing.

i have been reading through some of the comments here.

this is my opinion. all dogs can be placid or agressive. it all depends on how you raise them.

the doggo argentino is still a good dog. good natured like all teriers/mastif/bull. people say teriers are too agresive but its one of the dog breeds that gets stolen so often as they are very people frendly. got 3 of my staffies stolen.

Lmao hahaha good question hahaha....

Well in all honesty was far from it when it happened and ran towards the pool and the dog had things under control already by the time i got there. Then just left it to play out to see how the dog handled it. Very intelegent dog that. LOL and it was way to cold to jump in... Dont judge me!!!
