Arm size was created by Triton
All the big bodybuilders like Oupa and Fillet what are your arm thickness at bicep area in the relaxed state. I just want a estimate at what circumference it will start looking as if you are a bodybuilder. I know the true professionals are running at 23 inches or 58 cm but I guess from 45 cm it would certainly give an appearance of mass.
Ek is 1.87 meter lank met 'n ontspanne bicep omtrek van 40 cm en ek lyk anoreksie volgens my.

Working on your triceps and bicep brachii makes your guns look much bigger. It also depends if you've got high or low insertion - some guys with relatively big arms look like they have no biceps at all when they wear tshirts, but then win with sweet peaks.

I'm 1.78m. Bicep size relaxed and without a pump is about 49cm. It doesn't really increase in circumference when I flex.

It's all relative boet. Koop stywer hempies :P

Focus on Barbell bicep curls it works your biceps the best all round mass builder for biceps. For triceps skull crushers hands down just keep elbows in don't sacrifice form for weight.

Big triceps makes for big arms so work them just as hard if not harder than biceps. Like Eidolon said buy slim fit tight shirts

Also don't compare you're beginning to someone else especially a veterans middle

It is on you. It always has been...

Thanks Eidolon you just confirmed my anorexia case on my arms haha. I know it is all relative and I know I only started two and a half years ago with bodybuilding and only concentrated on mass the last year after losing 30 kg. Will focus on tricep development en ek koop nou 2xl tshirts en hulle sit styf :D

Thank you Rooi Bul will follow your advice and I have been following your progress also the past couple of months keep it up. All our novices on the forum must maybe set our goals officially on record with our target dates and we could support each other. Mine is to compete in a bodybuilding show in 2019 with a mass of 115 kg at <10% fat at age 46.

There is a psychological condition many bodybuilders suffer from called "bigarexia" the opposite op anorexia. They are big and look good but they do not see the same image that people around them see when they look at them self in the mirror...

It is on you. It always has been...

Sorry spelled like my ass.

It is Bigorexia aka Muscle Dysmorphia mostly bodybuilders and male athletes tend to get it at some point some worse than others...

My wife told me the same story and I almost believed her until she said my other member is also getting longer due to test use and then I knew she is bulshitting and don't have bigarexia but very small arms haha. Just joking thank you for the help and I know two years ago I wished just to loose some weight to improve my quality of life and now I am already not satisfied because the veins in my chest is not prominent enough. Nice to look at photographs a year apart and see the progress then you realise again the progress is worth the hassle to wake up every morning at 4H30 to go to the gym.

Thanks for the kind words Triton but yes I also suffer from Muscle Dysmorphia so regardless of how big or full my muscles are I often look thin in the mirror, everyone else calls me a f*cktard because they think I am a monster.

Regarding measurements, its something I will never mention because unfortunately it can start a pissing contest and is hardly worth stating. My measurements prove that for my length I am a big bastard but will still never be pleased.

Guaranteed bud you are bigger than you think so just keep pumping and eating like a beast and don't do anything stupid to get there any quicker. I saw a pic of myself 10 years ago when my child was first born, looks like I ate myself three times over so don't over think things. Just do what you do best, PUSH...

I have read through all your and Oupas comments and I can assure you that it is making my progress a lot easier even psychological with some of the emotions on what to expect. I owe the forum a lot and even though I don't post too often I read everything.

I only responded to Triton with measurements because my biceps are not >50cm or particularly huge, but agree that it's not really relevant. BF also makes a big difference.

@Triton, it's also not about one body part, and much more important to have a well-proportioned physique than just big arms. That said, I guess we'd all like to be hung like horses.

If one of you should walk in town and suddenly someone whips out a measuring tape and start measuring your arm circumference don't hit or shoot because it will only be me haha. I understand the reason but I like something physical to work to and cm will do it for me.
