Good luck pump with surgery and recovery... would you be able to post some pics of before and after, just too give us an idea on what the surgery actually entails...

Good luck 00pump :)
1 question though, why did you get gyno again? Isn't the op supposed to prevent you from getting gyno again by removing the parts that swell up?

Hi

I have answered this a few times, but will explain again.. Gyno is just female breast tissue, the only way to stop getting it is to control your estrogen levels. The glad is the entire pec, you can't cut the 'gland' out, you just cut the tissue out and hence you don't have any more 'lumps or fatty tissue'.

Right been to my surgeon this morning and he has chatted with a plastic surgeon about removing more tissue than last time, what he is going to do is take quite allot out now, so I have a 'hole' or sunken in area around my nipples, then the plastic surgeon will quickly do a bit of lypo to level the area out and make it look perfect.

Dates changed and will be going under the knife now on the 20th of this month and not the 27th anymore :P

Makes sense, thanks for explaining. It is just, that I have read and heard (mostly) that if you have the gyno removal op, you can't get gyno again...

Right going in for the op this Friday the 20th.. Hmm, not looking forward to this pain, lol!

I check you paying R 144 a minute you in theater, that doesn't include your bed or anesthetist and some of the tools that might be used (lipo suction).

You looking at around R 3100 for a general surgeon, I can refer a doctor that has worked on my before and EXTREMELY helpful with the hospital, he has been in practice for 20 years.

All I can say is its very expensive, if you have to go in for anything else, eg: a scope / removal of teeth (thats my trick) or any reason you have to get admitted to hospital use this as a chance to get your surgery done, as the medical aid will cover the bed and theater time, etc. You must speak to your surgeon and make sure he can do his procedure the same time as the one (your medical aid) will cover. This way you don't land up with extra fees. If this is not possible look at a specialist rates for the anesthetist and that R144 per minute you will be under, you looking at around 1 hour for the procedure.

Most of the time they cut just around the nipple (top part of it) and they then stitch you up with dissolvable stitches. They will then scoop out (the lump, and tissue around the nipple) and then use lipo to level the area out, if they don't then the surgeon will not be able to take enough tissue out and you might not be happy with the op. As I was saying if they don't do the lipo they won't be able to take out enough and if they do you will be left with this dent in your chest.

Hope that covers things up a little more.
