Yeah I suppose even Arnie won it a few a few times without calves and disproportionately small delts, noones perfect I guess

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

ya but back then Mr. O was judged a lot differently tbh.. Phil won due to his smaller proportions and classic cut.. And he is by no means lacking in shoulder width, maybe in comparison to jay and kai, yes he is.. But in relation to his physique? No, I do not think so..

But lets not let this thread degenerate into olympia debates

Small Calves?!?!?!? Not a chance.
He has been quoted to say not to train rear delts too much because it takes away from the size of the Tricep.
They wanted smaller legs to look good in the fashion of the day.
Tom Platz changed all that and even when he looked better than the top guys he never won the MrO title. They didnt like his legs.

Yeah he's got massive delts but he's clavicle limits his width a bit, I also feel Phil's arms overpower his chest a lot, but like I said noones perfect

@JR Arnie admitted himself he struggled with calves a bit. I don't know about rear delts taking away from triceps I'd think well developed delts make your arms look 10x better?

Tom Platz was just an absolute freak when it came to his legs but they threw his whole physique out of proportion, he was too bottom heavy

Am I the only one who considers frank zane one of the greatest bodies of all times.. when I was training with the pros at muscle works in the UK, everyone stated he was perfection for that era.

Just read an article where Yates says he was on 2000gr of carbs/day in the off season  has to be a typo because thats impossible.. he probably meant 2000calories from carbs so 500gr/day

Yeah Zane has some of the best aesthetics ever, but I prefer the "bigger versions of Zane" like Arnold and Reg

I wouldnt mind having his build, but if you gave me the option between his and Mike Menzer eg id go with Menzer. Different frame. They should rather rename Classic BB to Zane BB.

Phil Heath - Classic hour-glass shape - and still huge in every way
Arnie - More for what he's done for bodybuilding, also admire his determination to succeed (bodybuilding, acting, politics)
Gary Strydom - Because he's South African and I really like his physique and I also really enjoy his company's supplements - SPS (Strydom Professional Series)
