Hey DK. Don't use anything with fruit in it. Leave cereal for the meal after your shake. To substitute dextrose you want to come as close to glucose (I did not say sucrose or fructose!) as possible. So use game, gummy bears, Jelly Tots, marshmallows. Look for glucose on the ingredients list. Using free jelly tots I got at church for the moment (reps for Jesus bro) . Works well and gives my whey a taste.

Avoid Milo IMO cause it has fat, I suspect Nesquick to be better (+/-1g fat per 2 table spoons). You *can* use bananas, but they MUST be over ripe as hell. I'm talking brown patched oxidation all over, mate.

Nesquick for all the simple sugars?? Not for the taste haha I don't care about what something taste's like , I care about how if makes my body grow , @ the moment I find it useless to order dextros from BSSA + pay the R100 extra delivery fee so that does not make it cheap anymore its now the price of all the res of the sups

So what would be the best option then a normal rice crispys , corn flakes , nesquick , honey ??

I only mentioned Nesquick as an alternative to Milo.

Not cereal or honey. Just go for energade or game powder. It sometimes has the added benefit of electrolytes. Simple to measure, easy to mix, correct form of sugar, shake stays a liquid. Aims met IMO.

Enjoy DK my man, will be following your cycle like im following this thread. Learned alot from your questions. Cheers

Ps, im ran out of vitargo and dextrose from bssa and had to go buy some while I wait. So I bought the biogen pure carbs dextrose for 100something for 40 servings at Dischem. No flavours and no fillers. And it works. I used my blood glucose meter few times to record my insulin spike, and all good. Maybe check the it out when you go out to buy.

Every morning you have two choices : continue to sleep with your dreams, or get up and chase them......!!!

Dude, you can weigh all you want, but don't get too fixated. Weigh weekly morning fasted after a low calorie day (if you have) and use that as a reference. All other weigh ins will be for indication of water, puff, bloating etc. Just stick with the game plan, and don't train your butt today then! ;-)

@DK. I know this is off topic from your current goals.

Just want to know, how did your carb load look like when you were on the Keto diet?

Did you use the 8-10g/kg of LBM principle? And how long was it?

I wasn't very accurate when it came to my cheat meals on keto , but what worked well for me was eating a whole box of milo cereal on my cheat day

The nice thing about the cheat day was the massive pump you get on the workout day , and you sweat quite a lot

You can do a keto diet yes. But will eat FAAAR less.

If you want to drop fat, keto will help.
