Yes, point taken and well understood, it is just interesting to see you pick up instand weight. I know it will all be gone soon and more. :P

Hey, I also totaly aggree, aggreed before the lecture :)

The only reason I measure every day and log calories burnt, how energetic I felt, muscle mass changes, fat % changes, I'm using myself as a bit of a science experiment... So trying to see patterns... Its just for fun people, can you leave me alone already :)

You are right of course, daily measurements shouldn't get you down, and bi-weekly is a better reference...

Most of the guys on keto that were using the stix were testing negative for various reasons even though they were in ketosis. Here's the link where all the possibilities for the stix being negative were discussed

Thanks Bee,

I was wondering as my readings were showing between 0 and traces of Ketones for first week on diet.

If its showing traces then ur definately all good, dont stress too much about the stix, they're more important if your'e a diabetic otherwise they're just a guide. But you will definately learn to know when you are in ketosis without the sticks over time

And also you dont want the stix to go dark dark purple as this isn't good, it means your blood may be too acidic from all the ketones so if you do get them to go darker then two or three shades is all good
