The increasing of hours, do you increase the hours for 1 sitting or can you split the hours up throughout the day
(does that Q make any sense :-) )

Using you as an example DJ, what are your macros for the cheat day? From what I understand you want to keep fat intake low-ish right, but does your protein amount stay the same for the day? I imagine there won't be a need to lower it ...



Im sure dj is going to answer soon but from what I understand the carbs and fats would spare protein in this situation so only about 1g per pound is needed.

u can keep protein the same but there are cases where u dont havbe protein but i wouldnt do that personally.i usually have 3 - 5 meals before i cheat so my protein content for the day is sorted...

It makes sense to keep the protein the same on cheat days, you still need to provide the body with an energy source even though you are using ketones (in the case of a keto diet), as well as for muscle repair etc. When you cheat, you want to ensure that all the carbs are stored as glycogen as opposed to some being stored and some being used to fuel the body

great questions and answers.

this cheat meal gets a bit scary ,what if u eat the wrong type of foods on cheat day,then u could end up going backwards.

well im on week 2 of DJ's keto diet.energy levels back,still no cravings,lost a shit load of water,face has shrunk,body seems to be getting smaller but leaner,punched a few extra holes on my belt,alot more vascular and oh yeah!!!! loving the vascularity

Some people suffer huge problems with high doses of protein and digestion. So how would one handle this on a Keto diet, I know the psylium husks + benefibre can help to a point and I know you can take digestion. However what is the best way to handle it if that is not enough, yes there is tea's out there but its not the best idea as things like that and brooklax relax the bowel which will start to cause a whole heap of other problems!

the psylium route is fine bro,if u are getting in 20-30g of fiber a day with plenty of water u wont have a problem,the problem comes with lack of fluid as the psylium expands in the gut by pulling water into it,and if u are not having enough water u are going to have problems where it becomes hard like a plug,i have been taking 10g of psylium and 4g benefiber twice a day for the last 16 weeks and i have been clogged maybe twice...but it does pass eventually....

are u talking about flax powder? never heard of flax oil being a laxative agent so i would go no,i am reading more and more into using coconut oil at 1 table spoon a day with keto,apparently that is good if u got a problem with pooping.

no the flax seeds, they have a certain dietry fibre content...apparantly you can crush them up and take them with your whey B)

I think it`s more the shells that will provide the dietry fibre as B) The oild by itself has all the obvious benefits but like DJ says I dont think its going to do too much in the line of enhancing poopability :)

heres my progress update started keto on weight 89kgs after 2 weeks im 84,6 kgs.starting to take shape,gona get my body fat checked next tuesday so will know.using calipers to check.before keto i was 16.5% body fat


cheat meal on sunday,not really looking foward cause im luving the shedding

dude the cheat meal does you more good than harm,think of it as 1 step back wards to move 2 steps forward... u will re boost your metabolism and kick start everything again. and 4.4kg drop is good seeing u havent done a stitch of cardio yet.

Guys heres my development update.

Weighed in yesterday morning, after 2 weeks solid on keto and went from 89kgs to 82kgs.had my first cheat meal after 2 weeks yesterday and almost felt like i was gonna have a heat stroke.hot flushes and sweating like a tap.

had to weigh myself after cheat meal just to check difference and weight went up by 1.2kgs

well still 10weeks more to go .keep urll updated

im still on keto.im just loving it.currently weighing in at around 75.9kgs.will only stop once body fat reaches around 8%.need to do a bodyfat check this week.did the last check abt 3-4 weeks ago ,i was 14%.ever since then i dropped weight by 3kgs so unsure what my bodyfat is at ryt now.
