Hey all,

Been waiting a long time to do my first proper cycle. Planning to start in August this year. Just plain 500mg test cyp/10 weeks. (that run in with superbol doesn't count, i was a retard)

Thought i would post this as a baseline and when my cycle kicks off i will be forced to produce before/afters :) will also add photos of my scale to track weight etc, hopefully will be a good log. Let me know what you think.

Okay to the pictures. The main body shots are all unflexed, please no wysing the chest i know its shit. The bugger wont grow no matter what i do even though i can flat DB press 58's and incline 48's (i think thats pretty decent before you judge :) ) as a natural, subsequently it is now injured and i haven't trained it in nearly 2 months.

photo A: 71kgs 19%bf 182cm start
photo B: 76 kg bf unknown (ha ha thought i was big, what a laugh)
photo C: 83.6kgs bf 12.4% 183cm kinda nowish (am a bit heavier)

Current weight as of this morning 84.3kgs bf% unknown (not too high.. i hope)
Arm measurements there, i don't know the unflexed but they were 12" when i started which is that initial photo, and 16.5" or so when flexed in the later photo.

There is a sizable gap in my photos due to a PC crash but in between there i boosted up to my heaviest of 85.9kgs but BF was very high, was a see food bulk.

Yes you have probably noted no leg pictures. I have had typical upper body syndrome till roughly 6 months ago, so legs are just embarrassing and also happen to be stubborn as hell. Squat is at 180kgs now though so they aren't too weak and are gaining strength fast due to recently starting powerlifitng.

I have done MAX-OT pretty much most of the past 2 years, have never worked abs (probably why they look so kak) and never done a day of cardio. The lowest my bodyfat has ever got to is 10.1% on intermittent fasting, did it recently but these past few weeks have ruined that. Just gonna try keep BF and weight steady while gaining strength for my upcoming cycle.

PS: sorry about the picture quality, it is terribly shit. And not too sure which section this should be in, move if necessary.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Its legs day, legs day, gotta get down on legs day.

Good job bro, hopefully other naturals will use this as a baseline as to the sort of transformation you should undergo BEFORE jumping on the juice.

Save these pics bro, with this powerlifting thing thats as good as you might ever look :P

Sorry guys Apparently it is true, cause its happened to certain people already, so I’m not taking any chances !!

Hey Chapel.

Good transformation dude - dont worry too much about the chest and legs, dont get so caught up in whats lagging, sure work on it but dont let it dominate things as it will catch up.

The thing I learnt from my own transformation is that people too often forget the hard work they have put in, what they have achieved and end up not appreciating it because they are so focused on what they have yet to achieve.

Its a long long journey so enjoy it, great job so far and I'm sure there's plenty more still to come. :)

Thanks man, i do tend to get frustrated with the chest a lot. Just wont grow. k that picture is relaxed though side pose and lower chest when flexed is relatively bigger, plus the shadows wrong and the dog was barking :P haha..

I think it's a good base to work off now for my first cycle. Because for the life of me i cant get over 84-85 with out looking like the oros man and bumping over 15%. Thanks for the comment man :) Maybe that prowler and strongman kit can kick me up a level with a little anabolic aid ha ha. Cheers.

Who works out your diet for you? There is a great guy in Blouberg area who has helped massively with guys I know, although I'm sure there are also plenty of people on here who can also help with that kind of thing.

Plus I wouldnt stress too much about the body fat, dont let it go crazy but dont let wanting to see your abs prevent you from achieving solid gains and big strength increases.

No point in having "hawt" abs if you're weak as shit ;)

I do my own diet, got a nutrition and supplementation course under my belt with my PT diploma. Not the best but i combine it with a lot research and tweaking. Probably should suss out a proper diet before my cycle.

Ag never cared about abs in my life, just tend to hold weight in the love handles so it makes high BF% just look kak. Probably not gonna think about that till the end of the year though when i cut it all down.

This is a good little article about body fat - not everyone will agree but worth a read. Also a good site for all sorts of info.

Well done so far. First time Ive been on this site, quick intro...I was co-founder/owner of Muscle Science now own Pro Nutrition, am a food tecnologist and natural bodybuilder. Some good advice..Stop weighing yourself its no indication of physique improvement/progress, I started competing in 1983 and have watched or been involved in many shows since then and have often seen the lightest guys in a line up win the division. Many top bodybuilders dont look impressive in clothes and many guys that look impressive in clothes look like fat slabs when the shirt comes off. Let me know if I can assist with supplement/nutrition advice.

alright so I started this just under a year ago.. Since then I have put on size and muscle has definitely 'developed' to a far greater extent..

So starting weight now: 87.5kgs (was high 89 but cut a little before starting) and body fat when I started was about 12-13%, I did get lower but Holidays hit a little harder than expected and I let loose a little towards the end of them.

Some lifts:

BB curl: 55kgs/ 8 reps
Squat: Had a knee injury for 3 months, so probably 120ish
Low row: 150kgs
deadlift: 180kgs/8
front DB raises: 24kgs
lateral DB raises: 18kgs
DB chest press: not 100% sure. Chest is still injured. 44kgs are a breeze though and was nearly hitting 60kgs before injury.

I max nearly every single machine in virgin nowadays apart from the chest press and when doing lat pull downs wide grip. Tri pushdown i max, leg extension, lat row i max and so on.. So natural strength is quite good in my opinion, don't really see anyone going much heavier than me at my body weight..

Goals are to bring up my legs, chest and biceps.. I am happy with the rest, and they are just bonuses..

Sorry about the picture quality, had no one to take pics and blackberry was all I had at the time. Yes, the lat spread was done on a go pro but it didn't effect my back.

All of these were taken in this week.. Yes I am bloated and pale and not particularly photogenic, the food has been killer so far.

This photo was taken 3 years ago.. I was very low 70s here.. Gives you a nice baseline to see where I actually started.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

You a strong boy! :P

Try some german volume training for legs it brought mine up alot! And for chest, got a buddy with the same problem. Try mixing your training approach, do one week low reps moerse heavy then the next medium weight and say 8-10 reps then the next try really getting the pump into your chest and do like 10-15 reps. Also mix compound exercises with shaping exercises every workout.

Lets go!

Chest, ya i pretty much mix it up exactly like that.. right now though I am going to give DJs chest workout a shot.. the thing is savage so hopefully will do something.. Shot for the ideas though bru!
