what tics me off is when some random guys allways ask you if he could jump in between your sets. when you say no they give you atitude by looking at you funny cos they are to scared to say anything

If working on body and character doesnt cost you something its woth noting. If criticism is all that proceed out of your mouth then know that is how you feel about yourself and depicts the health of your soul.

I belong to a couple of different Gym because I find after a while I just need a change before I explode, be it the people or when the equipment isn't maintained properly.
It also keeps me motivated

I am utterly disappointed in middelburg VA. Moved over from menlyn. Okes just leave weights lying around. Air conditioning not working. Just did not enjoy it looking for the weights

One time I was sitting and getting ready to seated rows, when all of sudden a guy rocks up says he is using the seated row, so I said cool no problem and moved, when I got up and moved he went to another machine, so I thought ok maybe he is finished so I got back and started again, he came back and said he is still using it, so I asked him where was he and he said he is using these other machines aswell, so I said no I am not moving you cant book a whole gym to urself, he was so offended by me, which made me even more angrier, so I told to take a hike

Hi chaps

Ok so I know I haven't been on the forum for to long but so far I have learned a great deal if I may say so myself.

Diet, training and dedication is the most important thing.

I recently joined a local gym, and man you must see the stuff going on there? Guys poppin roids like its out of fashion hey, and not decent looking bodybuilder type of oukies, no like fat, over weight and inexperienced chaps.

I've been at the gym for 2 weeks and I've been offered about x8 different types of "stuff" the latest being stanoplex. The okes are poppin them like smarties, that being said, the have no diet, no training program and have done none what so ever research.

Just doest make sense to f-up your body in such a way.

new trend at our VA.

sorry are you using the incline bench? "yes i am doing incline bicep curls"

bringing 4 towels and making their own super circuit

this one doos he looks like a normal guy 1.84+- with a small boepi.he is like 22 he trains 3 okes.he lets them use 16 kg for kickbacks and yells at them if they cant do it.his form is atrocious.last night while doing flyes he yells like a sergeant at this poor oke who is using 16kg dumbbells but should be using like 8kg.a real asshole dragging down those okes with him.its only a matter of time before one pops a shoulder or tears a pec.

doing dropsets with 8 2.5kg plates on bench....

Something that is ticking me off is personal trainers... well not the trainers as such, but some have an elevated attitude of self worth cos they have the PT shirt...Others... awesome people...

Then you get some that have the people they are training doing stuff like skipping... right in the way of a weight rack... so you can't go get weights or even walk past... can't they do that in the studio section or where there is more space?

Basically general lack of care or respect for your fellow gym goers irritates me... Put the weights back please otherwise how must we know you are done?

I know it isn't ALWAYS true... but generally speaking I wouldn't easily trust someone who doesn't "look the part" when it comes to choosing a personal trainer...

Oupa did you spend some time in the navy?

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.
