I see the logic with that Pyro...

My only issue is that i myself have done this when results stall. And 2-3days later had broken through the point that I was stuck at.

Perhaps results of the cheat meal would have been better if I had not exceeded maintenance.

Thanks for the advice Pyro will try it in the future...

DK, sorry if I led you the wrong way, but I doubt it will set you too far back. Focus on the current diet and forget about the cheat. Move on stronger ;)

Haha

Well I'm horrible with dates, constantly forget my parents. My ex used to remind me until I forgot hers too :pinch:

So happy birthday for Tuesday bud, cause I will have certainly forgotten by then

Guys this is going to be a stupid question but will I be losing weight from fat in the first week on keto diet?? Or will it be more water weight I'll be losing if I lose any weight??

Most of it will be water and glycogen but you should also lose a little bit of fat yeah. The real magic happens after two to three weeks when you are deep into ketosis. That's without cheating though. ;-) :P

Hai guys

I have been following the kito diet very strict now since the 6th of dec which was a saturday

Could I have a cheat meal on the 18th of dec which will be a thursday and was thinking of having my last meal of the day as my cheat meal and making it pizza ??

Maybe any other suggestions for a better cheat meal ?? MM? Pyro?

Or will it be better to wait a bit longer before a do a cheat meal

You will be about 2 weeks in by the 18th...

I think Pyro advocates a 3 week period before the first refeed.

Personally I would say go for it... I hate killing myself and would.rather take an extra week to get to my goals.

The refeed with pizza I'm iffy with, I also love the stuff. But that cheat meal/day you should limit fat intake and allocate those calories to carbs, to replenish glycogen.

I may be crucified for this but I would opt for either a clean or dirty version

Clean being basmati and sweet potato.

Dirty being coco pops and oats.

Sure Pyro will be able to better advise with the cheat meal itself though. He is a keto Fundi. :P

Edit: I'm guessing that you are wanting panno's eat as much as you like... Also a bad idea. Try count the cals and exercise restraint.

Hay bud

I'll update stats tomorrow morning , and I see that the pizza is out hahaha

I'll opped for a re-feed with coco pops

But a question on the re-feed , do I add carbs into my whole day's meals or only on the last meal of the day?

It depends really... There are a few ways to do it.

Some will opt for a 2 day refeed, others will add smaller amounts of carbs to each meal for the day and cut the fat. For example every meal would have 200g (for arguments sake) of sweet potato...
Dave Palumbo goes with the last meal of the day to ensure you don't go completely bonkers and eat what ever haphazardly crosses your path.

I've even seen intermittent fasting being done on cheat day.
Where the guy had 2 eggs at 6am and then had his last meal for the day at 6pm, ensuring the entire days calories came from carbs, high GI first (coco pops) then low GI oats...

There's a million different approach's and at the end of the day it takes some trial and error to find what suits you best.

Some may say do xyz but in reality if you found something that works for you, stick with it. Because you're doing this for you not them.
(still stay away from pizza though)

Hahaha I just love pizza!! Hahahah

Oky but ya let's try the last meal of the day and a bit of carbs before my workout

Will adding omega 3 to my diet make any difference ??

In stead of the 10ml olive oil I add in 3 soft caps of omega 3 ??

Funny thing this cheat meal. It's actually better to eat some crappy delicious junk food than to make it clean. When you look at Jay Cutler with his coach Haney Rambod, Haney's biggest problem is getting Jay to eat a proper dirty cheat meal because Jay is a robot. I believe that a cheat meal is sacred and you should eat whatever will make you the happiest. Whatever you are craving in the whole world. Use it as a reward for being so dedicated to your diet and use it so that you don't feel trapped in your diet. You dieted like a beast and you deserve a reward. Very important to do proper damage control as you don't want to undo all of your week's hard work.

At what time of day would be a good choice to have a cheat meal pyro?? Or should I stick to the last meal of the day to be my cheat meal and don't have fats for that day??

My energy levels are very low I feel very weak and tired after every workout

Should I consider a cheat meal today or wait until next week this time?

I don't want my body to start thinking I'm in starvation mode an start holding on to fat

Best is always after a workout or at night. Dude you are not even two weeks into keto if you didn't feel like crap then you're not doing it right. Your workouts should take a nose dive until you reach ketosis because you have no proper source of energy. Just stick through it. I wouldn't cheat meal at all if I were you. But I understand it's difficult during the festive season.

Its full of sugar Bro, so yes as its carbs...

You're battling, I suggest having the cheat meal. For the purpose of being able to recover from there, as opposed to completely de-railing.

Hey bud...

Push hard this week... You going to be feeling crappy, and temptation will be rife. Your cheat meal is a week away so stay strong.

Good luck man.

Update time

I can now start seeing my abs very lightly when I tens or flex my abdominal , my arms , traps and shoulders are becoming nice and lean now , I also have a view veins in my calves now and more in my forearms on the flexor carpie and extensore sides as well as the vein on both biceps

I'm still keeping strict om my diet without a cheat yet

And a silly question but if I knew the answer I wouldn't be asking , is it possible to gain muscle while on keto??? Because I seem to be adding a bit om size , not huge size but a bit
