Rooi Bull's Cut take 2 was created by Rooi Bul 86
Hi Guys.
I am ready to take the bull by horns again and bite its head off this time.

My stats are as follows taken and calculated this morning:
Age: 30
Height:1.68m
Weight: 95.5kg
Body Fat%: 22%
Lean Mass: 74.5kg
Fat Mass: 21kg

I calculated my BMR as 1971
I am going to eat Ketogenic Diet.
My goal is 14% or less by mid Feb if I can be sub 10% like 8% by then great. Not going to use any anabolics. Only going to be using GW 50156 and FFF. FFF for 3months and then off as per directions.

My question is how many cals should I eat to cut as my BMR is 1971? BMR-500 that would be 1471-1500? Or should I stick to 1700-1800?
Secondly is my time frame feasable?

It is on you. It always has been...

Thanks OPTRON.
If I know I have guys like you watching and holding me accountable it pushes me and keeps me motivated. On my last cut which was my first I came down from 35-40% to 14% but I cycled FFF for 3monts a month off then jumped on ECA/Yohimbine stack 3weeks on 3 off. On that cut what pushed me was I knew Furk, Pyroclasm and Oupa were watching. So I know I can get sub 15% no problem my challenge is going to get sub 10% to 8%

Sal volg.

Het jy 'n kalorie syfer vir maintenance soos jy nou weeg? Ek vind vir my is die BMR-500 nie aggressief genoeg nie. Jammer, ek kan jou nie direk antwoord nie.

Timeline: 231 days.
Loss: 22% - 10% = 12%. 95.5kg X 12% = 11.46kg
Rate: 11.46/231 = 0.049kg /day

Thanks Furk.

Yes tjopper maintenance kry ek op 2365 calories so vir die eerste 4+ weke tot ek in diep Ketosis is gaan ek nie cheat of eers naby Maintenance gaan of aan dit dink nie.

So as long as I lose +-49g a day I can reach it?

Okay so for now going to start at 1700 Cals that is under fat loss but above extreme fat loss going stick here for +-4weeks until in deep ketosis and until my weight loss slows down...
End of next month going to order and run GW501516 through out and 3monts RAD140 as I was one of the guys that bugged LP to get them in this is only the ethical thing to do and GW will be one month solo @20mg ED to gauge results and effects then 3months GW and RAD140 @ 10mg ED GW 20mg ED. Going to try my best to get pre and post RAD bloods done to see if it is suppressive and if so how much. After the 3 months of RAD and GW going to hit GW solo for another month

Will it be necessary for the added weigh loss supplements if on only a 1700 calories. Will the reduced calories not be sufficient for weight loss. I also went on a 1800 calories eating plan and it was suffient for a avarage weight loss of 3 kg a month. At the end I lost 30 kg and now it seems as if my body increased my metabolism because my weight stabilised now even with a calorie intake of 2800 to 3200 calories.

Remember the goal is not simply weight loss but FAT LOSS with losing minimal lean mass.

So hoping the GW and RAD will help me preserve some muscle and strenghth. I know muscle loss is inevitable but just trying to minimize it with out using steroids. SARMS are not as suppressive and do not shut you down completely and are faster and easier to recover from than steroids and that is about the only side effect from SARMS no estrogen sides not liver toxic and not harsh on lipids.

Rooi Bul you would need to be in starving for a few days before you actually lose muscle mass. Contrary to information online that says you lose muscle mass when cutting calories, I actually gained muscle mass whilst following a fasting eating plan.

Read up on the 5:2 Fast Diet on www.thefastdiet.co.uk and it will change many perceptions. Fasting increases your growth hormone levels. I fast on Mon, Wed and Fri by restricting my calories to under 15 calories. I never thought that would be possible but after starting with 600 calorie fast days combined with Intermittent Fasting, I worked my way to that.

Tons of health benefits and you can also get to enjoy your weekends a bit if you like and still maintain a state of fat loss :)

@ Furk and Pyro I added Plain yoghurt back in after a week of no dairy at all and feeling great and bam massive headache so something is definitely up when I eat milk and yoghurt. I tried hard cheese and I seem fine then. No headaches from cheese no farting like crazy and feeling drained and tired like when I take milk or yoghurt

Yes! Happy you filtered that out, now you are wiser. Excited to hear about your opinion of RAD. Following closely.

@BigBoy: While I whole-heartily agree with you, I find sites like Michael Mosley's not set on bodybuilding and fitness enough though, given his background and focus. I've heard of little fitness professionals opting for the 5:2 approach. I like literature by Martin Berkhan, Brad Pilon and even Ori Hofmeklar.

Noted Furk. I think alot of fitness professionals opt for 16:8 Intermittent Fasting but those people are probably under 20% bodyfat.

I have found many fitness people(not professionals) on FatSecret that have had excellent cutting results by following 5:2(or 4:3). Perhaps one of the reasons that fitness professionals wont recommend 5:2 even if they do follow it is because it could put them out of business. If you think about it in the commercial sense, lots of overweight people go to these fitness professionals for help and these overweight people are sold products, eating plans and pay consultation fees. If they just followed 5:2 they would not need to pay for all of those things.

From a bodybuilding perspective, bodybuilders have a high level of secrecy and may never admit to following 5:2.

I would also like to see more bodybuilders trying 5:2 and giving their feedback. Maybe in time we might see that happening :)

Had a great Fasted State workout today. Total body. More than a year that I have not set foot in a gym I trained at Bethal gym today.

I was not sure if I could still bench my body weight or squat it or deadlift it so I aimed for lean weight wich is 75kg.
Military Press 80kg 5sets 6reps
Bench 110kg 5sets 6reps
Squat 110kg 5sets 12reps
Deadlift 150kg 5sets 8reps
All lifts performed on a Olympic bar

It is not as good as it should be I know but I do not have such heavy weights at home. I only have 2 35kg dumbbells and a bench. As long as I can do more than Lean Mass I am happy.
Started Full Keto from Monday.
Not on anything.

@rooibul those are pretty decent lifts for someone training for a while with just two 35kg dumbells.

One small piece of advice, try your best to get in 8hours a night for the duration of your cut, its a lot more important than we think it is.

Read a great study by Greg Nuckols the other day which basically showed a massive difference between the amount of muscle lost rather than fat on a cut depending on the amount of hours rested.

I'll post it as a separate thread.

I think the problem is that you can't build muscle in a fasted state when you're glycogen depleted. Bodybuilders also generally don't need to limit their calorific intake unless they're prepping for a comp. There's no real secret BB diet mate - most of us would get fat/explode in a week if we ate as much as the pros. "Diet" does not always imply weight loss ;)

There are a million fad diets out there, but to lose weight, the formula is pretty simple - eat less than maintenance. The rest is just a money-making gimmick or short term fixes for lazy people. Unless you learn to adopt a sustainable diet, chances are you'll pack on the kilos again once you get tired of the monotony. Which you will.

Hi, guys.

Not much to report from me almost 2 weeks in and this time the Keto hangover is hitting me bad hey. Just feel tired and unmotivated. But the moment I hit a workout it changes feel better and energetic then and blast through.

Other than that stomach area is tightening up and definition is increasing every where not getting so flat so fast like on my previous cut. Using only a multi vitamin at the moment.

It is on you. It always has been...

2 weeks in.

Houston we have a problem...
I look and feel better.
Now one week in I had that good heavy lift workout. I kept strictly Keto and weight is up from 95.5 to almost 98kg. I weigh 97.5kg today. I train 5x5 total body Mondays and 5x8-12 Friday.
Could the heavy lift session have forced some of the glycogen I still had in me along with water into my muscles?
Lallie also says I don't look so lean and tight around my middle as I did earlier this week?

It is on you. It always has been...
