Dude I hope you manage to make a plan and that this cycle goes well... you've got a rocking start! (wish I was that lean by nature)

Seriously.. Is that necessary.

To you it may look like I just did a push-up... But in fact, I just bench-pressed the world.

Eish ja... Don't kill his spirit now...

How many 18 year old guys are out there pushing themselves towards something and not pissing their lives away every weekend with booze and parties?

Don't give up bro,

Most guys who are middle age in decent jobs can't afford this sport, or at least have to budget for food, cycles and supplements..

Your dong a great job with what you have, don't lose hope!!

You know I have known Luke a very long time, and I know for a fact his head is getting to the right place, he has matured and is growing into manhood and realising that whatever he wants in life comes at a price.
Perhaps from the outside looking in we may perceive our own versions of life because of each of our own individual suffering and pain experienced that grew us into the men we are today, then make certain judgments. Let's rather encourage one another rather than break down, "Let your words be seasoned with salt bringing grace to the hearer", I don't always practise this but am trying to bring it into my thinking and actions. Salt stings a wound but also brings its own healing properties.
What I say is well done Luke, I am glad you have found your passion, keep being disciplined and focused, keep working hard toward your goals, no one was made great without suffering, pain and sacrifice.

Consider doing these to earn cash as a teenager:

- promotional work

- delivering pizza

- look for opportunities at universities to do physical or psychological testing (I don't necessarily mean being a lab rat, but if that floats your boat then go for it)

- if you have a car, go onto BrandYourCar.com to earn cash by having them put ads onto your car (a mate of mine earned R2000 a month just for having a company's logos and messages all over his car)

- import caps or clothes from Asia and sell them to your mates

Just don't narrow your thinking to one job, there are plenty of ways you can earn money. It doesn't have to be a large salary at once, but several smaller ones that add up at the end of the month.

Oupa you have no idea how things have changed in my household in the last few weeks so I would really appreciate it if you didn't go for the jugular for no reason.

Work is exceptionally hard to find in Durban and I had an ultimatum to find a job in less than two weeks or I would have to pay the R2000 installments on my car which my mother had promised to pay.... I had no choice but to take the first job I got and its not the best job in the world but atleast its something! I haven't even had a can of coke in weeks because I have budgeted for cycle so I have made every sacrifice I can to progress in this sport. Sometimes everything one has to give just isn't enough...

As for that loan. I don't think I will ever ask for anything more than I have. You guys have no idea how much koe has done for me in the last few years. He has made a bigger impact on my life than my own parents have and that is all I need right now. Koe has inspired me in many ways, bodybuilding being one of them.

Good luck with everything. I'm on your side too brother. You're very fortunate to be working with someone like koe!

Diets can be expensive, perhaps Admin can give me your email address if you ever need help in that department.

Best wishes

Thanks guys.

I know that the world owes me nothing and it will not simply give me anything either. I work hard for what I earn and I do what I can with it but right now I'm stretching my budget for the basics so everything else will have to wait. The saddest part is that I don't have all the gear to finish my course and my budget as it stands isn't going to cover it. I have a small business that I'm trying to expand before I officially open for business. Its not dealing don't worry :) I just hope that it kicks off the way I planned
