I don't follow 5% on insta because it's usually full of over-saturated photos of guys with tattoos on their faces and fake boobs. I have to limit my data usage

@Fakey_AK

Im also curious about Nutritech whey, i know when they were tested last year i think the results were crazy.... something like out of a 26g serving there was only 11g of protein (correct me if you know the exact amounts)

But I see they comply to all the ISO and GMP standards now so i dunno maybe they sorted their shit out.

And forgive me for the blasphemy , but I was comparing some whey labels in dischem last weekend and I checked USN's stuff. I see their higher "quality" protein powders are now made in the USA.

3 of the whey products i checked that actually seemed okay were (Whey Ultra-100 Premium)(Whey+ Multi Whey Protein)(Whey Isolate Supreme) ,and yes i know companies can lie on the ingredients list but these 3 looked okay.

I see they have actually put in the decent casein ( Micellar Casein) and not the cheap stuff glue is made of ( Calcium Caseinate )

Yes nutritech initially got caught with not meeting label claims. They've upped their game since. However all proteins are not created equal.
There's a reason it's 700 for 3.2 kg.

GMP is a certification for the facility and processes. It has absolutely nothing to do with label claims or ingredients.

Majority of the bigger local companies are buying raw materials including whey from a single company in SA which is importing in bulk for better pricing. +-7$ per kg of whey. The company is an Ascendis Ltd subsidiary.
There are different types and qualities of whey that different local supplement companies purchase therefore dictating the selling price.

USN is one company that does not have to buy locally as it has offices in US and Europe therefore using transfer pricing for tax avoidance. So alot of their products are made overseas.

Plus, the new Nutella flavour. I won't lie, if I get to test it I won't turn it down. First time I've seen that other than the famous ZKK nuthellyea .

Yeah, I must say, USN upping there standards, then Chrome Supplements starting to sell their products. It kind of makes sense, I almost apologise for accusing Chrome of selling out.

Yes i was also surprised. When I was still working at dischem i used to hate having to push USN and Biogen. But USN have improved a lot of their formulas in the last year or so. Maybe because they are a lot bigger internationally now.

Chrome's profits are definitely going to increase now. most people who are not so informed only buy USN. But hey if their products are premium quality then it is okay. but damn those new flavours  hope they taste good though. Like ON rocky road or cookies and cream, even Titan Labs choc chip whey was nice

I see on USN website they also have Cinnamon Caramel doughnut flavour in the whey. That sounds lekkar! I don't see it at chrome though so not sure where to buy it yet.

Has anyone used one of these lately?

So apparently the USN wheytella flavour is awesome! But no stock near me. Went with the Nutritech Cookies and Cream.

Powder is very fine texture which is good. Makes a little bit of foam but I dont mind that. Pure unflavored Whey that I always got did the same so that's cool.

Taste is pretty nice I must say and it mixes very easily.

Muscle Meds Carnivore is pretty difficult to mix, watch out for that one. And it claims "beef protein", but not "meat", so it can be gelatine.

...or something worse.

Yeah I also dont understand the whole beef protein craze..... Just eat a steak. And dont think the shelf life would be very long if it was beef.... Even if it is hydrolyzed. But I might be wrong

I'm busy getting through a 3.2kg tub of Nutritech cinnabomb. It's ok, not great. Will def be going back to choc or choc mint once this one is finished.

I'm also interested in giving the USN wheytella a try though, after reading that recent Dischem test I'm not shying away from USN like I used to.

Do yourself a favour and get a Chrome store card. You get 10% off all products when you buy from an actual Chrome store (not online), and they send you details of exclusive store card member special offers every couple of weeks.

Ja brah that's what I'm getting it, although I can't substantiate it with evidence so I'm not going label it as shit tier.

Their delivery is the best I've had for any online purchases, including takealot, (late)kalahari, loot, purple fly etc. Their opening so many new stores I don't think KZN is too far in the future.

Why not just order online, I do most of the time even though there are plenty of Chrome stores in my area.

The granadilla flavour has been out for a month or 2 already. I can think of nothing worse

update on the Nutritech whey 3.2 cookies and cream....

-taste is really good!! a friend of mine uses the cream soda and that is also apparently great.
-no stomach upset at all....usually grapy whey turns me into a walking chemical gas bomb.
-mixes very easily

So overall a lot better than i thought it would be, it can get a stamp of approval :P

Hi guys.

Has anyone used Evolve's Creagen?

I'm looking for a vitargo / maltodextrin product for intra/post workout.

This stuff has 312 calories:
75g carbs (25g sugar)
303mg phosphurus (60mg magnesium, 125mg sodium, 80mg potassium)
8g creatine blend
1g glutamine peptide

Carbs seem to come from Vitargo and Dextrose.

What are your views on this product? Especially when using on a Dbol / Test cycle (worried about the sodium content).
