Anyhoo, spend most of my time on Uvongo beach - safer for my kid with the middle island and on the beach about 7 hours a day. Don't think you would miss me. Thick beard, brown hair, blond thin pretty wife and 10 yr old kid. Easy spot.

Hopefully when I walk up to some random behemoth and say "Hi, are you Fillet?" he doesn't deck me because it isn't you :lol:
Will keep a lookout. I live just around the corner from there.

We had huge issues with Uvongo during December. The coliform count was beyond dangerous. 100's of people got sick or hospitalised. Will make sure that it's safe now.
Our local councillor stood there one day telling people not to swim in the lagoon because of the situation and people told him to piss off and mind his own business.
Karma came to bite one guy because that night the councillor was at Margate hospital by chance and the guy's whole family were on drips sick as dogs. If the guy could I think he would've dug a hole for himself.

Oupa, that guy is blatant. He doesn't even try to be "cloak and daggery". Had my son there hunting for treasure and the guy does his deals right next to us. AS for water quality, the recent rains have washed everything, but another test will be done in the next week or two to determine where we stand.

Just a quick one about the beach. The sea water is stable and no issues reported. I would still however, strongly dissuade anyone to swim/play in the lagoon.
So it's all systems go. Hot as hell and very nice weather, so I hope it stays that way for you. Normally around equinox Springs the sea gets gnarly, but nothing like that this year.

K boet. Thursday we leave, kak long drive but comfortable car and awesome acceleration so it's all good.
We will stay out uvongo lagoon and use beach only. Are all the the lagoons fucked up? Like to float and have a beer, margate? Ramsgate? St. Michaels?

We're getting rain periodically so you doubt know what comes down. I'd rather err on the side of caution. You don't want to end up man with some horrible bug.

The amount of people who give half a shit about their physiques, on the beach I see whale after whale and 12 year old boys with moobs and tummy's. Not saying everyone needs to be a weightlifter or crossfit etc it's just a matter of you are what you eat even if you don't workout. Seen two chicks that'll pass since I've been here, 0 guys. Absolutely disgusting. Sorry if this sounds shallow to the forum but nobody takes any pride in their physiques anymore. What a shame.
