Fillet, no expert, but suggest you take that hernia seriously mate. Have you had a gastroscopy? Have a look at 'Barrett’s esophagus', and 'adenocarcinoma'. Strongs thereFIllet wrote: Bru on 1200 test now, still 700 deca. Feeling mighty/ strong - hit a pothole with a heital hernia increasing in size so eating is not the easiest as it hurts. On meds so hoping I don't need an op, even if specialist advises I don't think I will do it. My stupidity when i get that last rep of failure and hold the weight I hold my breath without realising. Gonna keep pumping, blend some food and not forget to breath in that final rep I can't complete.

If it's any use, I had the surgery. Foolishly resumed training 5 days later. The GERD returned pretty soon, surgeon said I did squats & crunches too soon. Makes sense, if you do go for it, take enough time off. I also take Nexiam/Omeprazole. As Pump & Muscleaddict say, everything we take has side-effects of some kind.. There are NCBI studies saying the surgery is *not* more successful than medication. Hope you find a good solution mateFIllet wrote: Howzit Mack, I have had two of them in the past seven years and have to go for another within the next five days, apparently I can only use the meds for five day's so ya... I will revert after that, really don't want that op man. Oh, except the nexiam been on that for years, the GERD and hernia's are genetic.

One hernia, three stomach ulcers, poor stomach lining and a chance of esophagus rupture. I believe this is due to the house catching fire end last year. I know I lost 30 percent lung capacity but they never checked throat. I will need to talk with him.

I'm sure all will be fine, all vitals were checked a few months back with no issues so that's most important although he has taken full blood work again but I'm certain they all fine. He knows about steroids, didn't seem to bother him much. I will keep you posted and keep pumping. A lot of this is genetic as well, old man gets hernia's, old bag gets ulcers... I'll just sort that throat.

FIllet wrote: Most people don't know they have ulcers etc. until a check up so it's very common thing. All good, thanks for your concerns gentlemen. Only reason I got checked was the throat and surrounding pain, after certain heart tests turns out ticker is strong still hence the g-scope. Now I know.
It's always good to have piece of mind, specially with things like the heart
