Yesterday was the 1 year mark since starting Empires diet, Then in Feb he took me under his wing and started the progress.

Proud to say, I weighed in at 147.2 yesterday morning (146.6 today)

65kg's from my heaviest, 59 from the starting diet weight.

I really wish I had taken measurements before starting the diet, But heres what my CM loss is so far

Been on Clen since last thursday, My lord, what a difference that stuff makes.

I dont see myself being on it for longer than 2months at a time, but it def works.

Changed the diet a few times, changed workouts a few times. Think we finally have it nailed down. Focusing more on slow and steady, less on moving big ass weights. Family and friends are blown away by the changes, Im more than happy.

I think we can almost close off this thread, cause 60kg's is a small man, I was happy to drop to 150, but that little crazy voice in the back of my head says 120 is do able....

What an exceptional result.
You should be really chuffed with the progress and I think your body will thank you in the years to come.

I can only imagine what an improvement in your quality of life must be, not to mention you have likely added years to your overall life span.

Remarkable and well done for keeping at it. Dont beat yourself up if progress gets slower, its likely to happen, but keep chipping away and you will get where you want to be

That is by far the biggest progression I've ever witnessed. Congratulations to Empire for helping drive it and for you for sticking too it!

So I highly doubt I will be hitting my 140 xmas goal,

I have stalled out a bit, other issues have popped up, pimples etc.

Pushing refeeds hard now on sundays, As is 200g carbs for 3 meals, This has improved alot.

I went up to around 155ish again, but am down to 149's again. Hoping to hit 145 by xmas, anything more is a bonus

Managed a solid hour of Elliptical and treadmill today, felt like I could have easily done another 30min,

You have done an amazing job, my friend. It's great to see people helping each other on this forum. Hats off to you. And a salute to Empire.

Wow, I really dropped the ball with this one

So,
Updates,
143.9 this morning,
Lowest I managed was 140.9 around my Bday in march

Since then, Alot of shit has gone down,
Sadly my wife was diagnosed with cancer towards the end of april, We did a biopsy on it and couldnt find the primary source, They did a ct scan

We found a brain tumor....
Tumor removal was done in June, sadly since then she has not been the same. We did a bunch of radiation sessions on the brain and her arm (Where we picked it up) and inbetween she has spend ages in hospital and now recently a week in a carehome. Radiation caused her throat to become inflammed and she stopped taking in , anything. She also had 3 large siezures due to the surgery and we suspect there was a minor stroke in there aswell. Shes coming back, But very slowly.

I managed to bring her home yesterday.
Not to talk out of the bedroom, she used to weigh 91, I think shes around 65 now.... all in the span of a few months. The cancer has spread, future looks bleak, But we take everyday we have with her as a bonus and appreciate her

Needless to say, I have been slacking off with my training and diet. I cant remember the last time i tracked anything, I have started back on the stress eating. Im focusing to stop that, but it is a coping mech and addicition..

Sadly I wont be able to carry on with Empire for right now, But from the bottom of my heart, Empire , you saved me man, you made sure that I was strong enough and will live longer than i would have 2 years ago

If it wasnt for him, i dont think i would have been able to assist my wife as much as i have, Moving her around, Checking her various levels (blood sugar, pressure etc), Im able to see what foods are best for her because of the knowledge he passed on to me.

Needless to say, I wont be updating too much more, But I promise atleast 1 or 2 more

211kg's at my heaviest, down to 140.9 at my lightest... Not too shabby

I hope you take some time for yourself too, bro.

Take time and sit with your thoughts.
I have followed most of your progress with members here, from what I saw, I hate to say it, but you conquered yourself and I think are able to understand moderation. You did a really good job.

If a burger makes your day even a little easier, try fit it in.

If you go off the rails, no problem you can always hop back on a later stage. I don't think anyone would judge you for that on this board. Try keep us up-to-date and when you need a push or to rant, come here.

Positive thoughts your way.

Thanks man,
Im not beating myself up too much, But I need to remember the moderation bit.

Very easy to bury myself in a bag of sweets again.

So far I have managed to slip in a few gym sessions while the mother in law sits at our place. Luckily wife isnt too much work, just dont want to leave her alone for too long.

Sorry to hear about what you and your family have been going through. You've come a long way and are a better man for it. You can be very proud that you can now be a better husband to your wife when she needs you most. Hang in there mate.

Hey bud, the last time I posted on this forum was in your thread almost 2 years ago and you've become an even bigger inspiration with all you've accomplished. Well done on everything you've achieved physically and mentally.

As for your wife, so sorry to hear what you guys are going through.  A year ago (june) I lost my best friend to cancer and didnt take it well at all thinking that nothing could ever make me feel worse than I did last year.
fast forward exactly a year after to July 2023... and my wife has also been diagnosed with cancer. Boy was i wrong about not being able to feel worse. She's currently in hospital and has been since 3 July.  We've had 4 instances where we thought we were losing her but thankfully she is still with us all though she's only spent about 3 weeks since July being out of ICU... in fact today she went back to ICU after a  lung collapsed due to infection. I'm trying my best to remain positive but it's hard as hell, so for once I think I can safely say to someone I know exactly how you're feeling. The only thing I can say is to hang in there and try and stay positive and in a good space for her. Numerous times I've entered the ICU to visit her only to turn right around at the door and gather myself to put a smile on my face and assure her that I'm ok even though I'm dying inside.  This does not mean we neglect ourselves, I think the training right now might help you more than you think. I haven't been training as much recently but my other form of stress relief is the shooting range. I've probably spent close to 30k just on bullets the last few months to try and keep myself from losing it completely. My advice is to try and find whatever helps get things off your chest (crying has also been one of my things - no matter what anyone says it's ok to cry). You need to get it out of your system as a form of self care and it will only make it easier for you to be there for her.

Good luck good sir, I wish you and your family everything of the best through this tough time. You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

Forgot about all this thread again.

Wife lost the battle on the 10th of august, Things have been ... well they have been
She isnt in pain, she isnt suffering...its not been easy, but the boys and I are handling it together. They are alot stronger than me.

im sitting on around 155, Eating is ok, I have been loading up on creatine and hitting the weights now for around a week and a half, cardio (almost hour long sessions) for about 3 weeks.

I have not been tracking food, Excuses are easier than living like i was

What an awful thing to have to experience. Really sorry you have to go through this, its hard being there for the kids when you feel like you are alone and lost.
Take it easy and be kind to yourself.
