Ok so i am off to the chiro today. First warm up set of shoulder press and i felt a twinge in my trap/infra sprinatus. Rest of the shoulder work out was ok, 75% of max weight on presses, so i need to go for panel beating and needling to get this impingement sorted, so bad I can't turn my neck to far left or right. Have had this before so some dry needling is in order and I will be right as rain.

Naaa this is where the trap and delts meet at the base of the neck... at worst probably 2 days of dry needling. it's my vice. Same spot every time...

Ok so it's right scapula, just been needled and feel like a rape victim. Time to get some anti inflams and relax whilst I sit at my desk working on paper work for the rest of the day. Fml

How much rest time you think you gonna need?

I will be back in action by Monday. Anti inflamatories, weekend of rest and another needle and massage tomorrow and will be good as gold.

Take it easy and enjoy the rest. If the weather down there is anything like up here then it is perfect bed weather. Hope you feel better in no time.

Ok well today I feel a whole lot better, going again for needling just now but a lot more movement in my neck and not so uncomfortable when standing... another anti inflam and 2 norflex and Monday I will be good to go.

Great news. For years I've had a shoulder issue, I think I F'ed a rotator cuff doing upright rows years ago. I have no pain at all anymore since going to a Ciro but I think it healed bad on its own and has left some scar tissue because I can see uneven development in my rear delts. (I'll try and post pics in my thread)
Do you think needling or deep tissue needling would be worth a go?

Yea always good to have needling done in my opinion, it's like taking your body to a panel beater...

What are the costs for this, last time I went to the physio they hit my medical aid R600 bucks for 30 mins use of a hot towel and pretty much nothing else

My chiro charges 250 a session if its cash. And medical aid rates is 320
